We're having a baby! And BM lost it.

southernshellgirl's picture

I guess after the last hearing in October we just kinda got on with living and it's been busy. We had some water damage in our bathroom and ended up remodeling completely, most of the work Dh and I did ourselves. Was having a little trouble getting things done while Dh was at work because I was so tired. I took two pregnancy tests before Thanksgiving, but I just couldn't believe it until we had the first sonogram last week. There's really a baby in there!

School.

So last week, DH went to pick up his tickets for SS7 Christmas concert. While he was there the kids where just going to lunch, so he asked to see SS. Well I guess SS told his mom that DH was at the school. BM called the school and told them that DH is to have no contact with SS at the school what so ever. We found that out cuz DH called the school to see if there were any tickets left so his parents could also go to the concert. And the sectratery had said that DH is not alwolled to see SS with out concent from BM. That is so not right, they have shared cusidy and gaudianship.

SD has to be "The Grownup" when dealing with BM

maggie925's picture

There has to be a law out there somewhere that says it's a crime to mess around with kids minds. Recently, SD wanted BM to come see her since it's been nearly 2 years since thier last visit. BM said she'd come Dec.21-24 and stay at a motel only if SD would be able to spend the night with her. As hard as it was to agree to this, we decided that it would be okay since SD is 14 now. A few days later, BM calls and says she can't afford to come for 4 days and it would ruin Christmas for her other 2 children if she had to spend all of her money on a motel.

SD to move in and I Was not consulted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

kamini's picture

my husband has suddenly decided that his 12yo daughter is to move in with us!! We have been married 3 years and he has been divorced for 7. I was not even consulted about this and by the way, this was not part of the long term plan when we decided to get married. I personally think that daughters are better off with their mothers> Now what am I to do!!! I am 28 years old and was planning to have a baby next year!! How do I tell my DH that I dont think this is a good idea?? If fact I think it's the most horrible thing i have heard in a long time!!

Difficult Stepdaughter

I have 3 adult stepchildren and all live out of the area.My youngest SD, is in her 20's, married now and will not stay here when she visits and doesn't come to the house. If she visits us, it is for 30 minutes and the rest of the time it is all with her mother for an entire weekend. I recently redid her resume and worked on it for 3.5 hours. I sent it to her in an e-mail.She asked her dad for help with it and I offered to help him with it. She never thanked me or e-mailed me back. My father-in-law recently died and she never talked to me for the entire 4 days of the funeral.

No idea what this should be titled.. but.. ARGGGGG

Little background. My DH's ex complained when we wanted to implement an every other year christmas rotation. What she wants is my DH to come get the kids for either christmas eve or christmas day.. HE is always the one that needs to drive over an hour each way to get the "cherubs".. WE would like every other year.. so that we are not running around EVERY christmas.. especially since she REFUSES to help out w/the driving...

Concerned SM

I have a SD6 she always thinks she has to go to the bathroom to pee. Most of the time when she goes to the bathroom she just wipes. She wipes like 20 times but still thinks she is wet. Sometimes after she wipes she puts her clothes back on and 5 minutes later she is back in the bathroom wiping again. Today she missed the school bus because she thought she had to pee and would not go out the door to get on the bus. She started screaming and crying and throwing a fit. This is really upsetting my husband, but I'm worried there is some reason for this. BM has taken her to the Dr.

Really getting to me

lmcguire's picture

I just struggle so much with letting all the bad talk take over my life. It effect me all the time. I let it go for a few years, but then a recent incident when my oldest SD and my husband(her dad) had an email chat where he threw me under the bus, and it all came back. Now, I find myself talking to myself all the time with all kinds of negative speak like how I am going to get out of this when I am 50(6 more years,a ll kids will bhe launched with youngest a sophemore in HS),etc.I am quick to tears... and anger.

what to do

lsutigers's picture

My issue is not necessarily the parents at this point but the wife's ex-boyfriend from high school. I am a step-dad. She has a child from a previous marriage but X from high school will not get the hint that she is not coming back to him. In the twenty years since graduating he moved on to someone else, married and had kids and so did she. they both got divorced around the same time unbeknownst to each other. they ended up moving to the same apartment complex. she has never led him to believe she was anything other than his friend. he made a couple of moves and she shut it down.

The Lawyer drew up the letter

sixxnguns's picture

This has been a hard decision for my boyfriend...he had her write a letter to exwife's lawyer saying either she signs full custody over to him, or she takes him on fulltime...in all honesty I'm hoping she takes him on fulltime cause if we have him, the drama won't stop, the blaming won't stop, and I probably won't stick this out anymore.....I more than likely think that she'll take him on full time though..she thinks she'll get a free ride this way...I told BF I'd get a second job to pay the bills when his child support goes up cause I'm sure it will...it seems like I was better off single
