Clothing

futuremrs.k's picture

So, bf and I have chosen to buy a whole set of clothes for the kids to keep at our house. However, they are learning to tie their shoes right now, so we agreed to just buy the one pair of shoes with ties so they could practice. This has been working out just fine until lately. She keeps putting the kids in the velcro shoes, so she doesnt have to bother helping them AND not returning the tie shoes when they come home! BF mentioned this to her and it just continues. Are we being ridiculous? How do you handle clothing between the homes?

It happened already!

The 12 yr. old SD texted all day today wanting a ride. She wanted us to go the whole way across town to take her up the street in a snow storm because BM is too lazy!!! I told you guys it's always something! Everyday! I should start answering my phone "Taxi Service!" I think I should leave a message on my VM "If you're calling for a ride, you've called the wrong #. The Taxi service # is ???-???-????!! I'm so fed up. I said I'm not going anywhere. So FH runs at their every whim! He drove across town to take SD up the street!!! I said "Why can't BM take her" oh, she's tired!!

Why am I in this family?

Skygarden's picture

I have been in this family with a stepdaughter and my own biological 3 year old son for five years almost. I probably should not be here. My husband and my stepdaughter, whom I used to have a pretty close relationship with, have done a wonderful job of reminding me that I came in to this already formed family and I am the outsider. I am beginning to loathe my stepdaughter. I don't want to talk to her at all. My marriage is slowly but systematically falling apart. I cry all the time and I am so unhappy it is unreal.

Has anyone noticed that you can no longer find anything with just ONE disney princess on it? I have been searching everywhere for Little Mermaid stuff and all I have found was a comforter. However if I wanted the Princesses I could have wall stickers, curtains, beds, wall paper, jewellry boxes, alarm clocks, ect.

SINCE WHEN HAS CINDERELLA BEEN COOLER THEN THE LITTLE MERMAID? lol really now.

My SD just adores the little mermaid and since we are moving into our new house I want to give her a little mermaid bed room. But appearently I'm going to have to paint it myself!!!!

BM's Bizarre "cowboy" fetish

bookgirl's picture

So one of the more humiliating things about living in Wyoming is that there are masses of "cowboy" posers. These are people who have never lived out of town, never spent a prolonged time around horses, cattle, etc, and for reasons unknown to me, still strut around in cowboy boots, unflattering tight pants and actually wear cowboy hats in a not funny and/or drunk and ironic way. Naturally BM is one of these. And she's 50+ pounds over weight so those clothes are not flattering on her.

UPDATE from my forum post: Received a message saying that SD is being abused...please help!!!

This is quite long...

We made the decision to confront BM about all of the accusations we were hearing. We also sent messages to BM's MIL to try to get her side of the story.

Frustration

Hogger's picture

I am so upset right now. Just read an email from the BM, full of lies once again. She has bi-polar, panic/anxiety attacks and is afraid to leave her house. All we wanted was for me to be able to take my SS to the dentist as he has a baby tooth that won't come out and is damaging the adult tooth underneath. She refuses to let me help and refuses to take him herself. She lets him sleep in her bed every night so when he does sleep at our house he cries and wants his door open (he's 9).

Mothers and Hamsters

jenjen's picture

After a hamster gives birth, it hides its babies in a giant, intricate nest. she doesn't want to let them wander away and keeps them hidden as long as she can.

SOME hamsters will eat their babies if they perceive a threat to the babies or themselves (like moving the nest around to see the babies). OTHERS will merely "yell" at you, let you know they are upset and go on to fix the nest so that it is even more secure.
