kangaroo's picture

I have not been here for awhile because of my new job. But Saturday Sept. 11th I told my BF that him and his D had to move out. the relief is undiscibable. He found a place and is moving by Oct. 1st. I would like to still be a part of this wonderful blog, this is a place of great support and understanding.

Thank you to everyone for the help, ya'll gave me the strength to take the bull by the horns and move on.

Alienating your Child

HeatherM's picture

I know that 'taste' is 'taste'..and that we all have different opinions, but I struggle with this. So, my SS 8.5 is not a popular kid, not that he needs to be...but he's not, and given his personality would probably like to be. He is chastized because he's Angel overweight (b) Has warts on his hands (c) Has buck teeth (d) Doesn't want to participate in any of the games the boys are playing at recess, etc etc.

P.O. Box Not Even!

poisonivy's picture

so, I opened our medical insurance claims this morning and saw that BM has been having medical bills for skids put in DHs name at the doctor's, then having the bills forwarded to some PO box that may or may not exist. I was always told that the responsible party is the person accompanying the child to the doctor's and that its up to that person to recoup any out of pocket from the NCP. Am I wrong here, and what suggestions do you guys have?

nightmares

krenee86's picture

Recently my SS3 has been waking up around the same time every morning like between 2 and 4am. Screaming and crying for daddy. So daddy wakes up and takes him to the livingroom to cuddle and watch cartoons until SS calms down, while I make him a sippycup of milk. after a cartoon or two we put him back to sleep and usually he just falls back asleep for 3 or so more hours. But I was just wondering if there was anything else we could do to keep him from waking up screaming? We think hes having nightmares because when he wakes up crying he says hes scared.

Even Dh's family knows how rotten and misbehaved his kids are!!LOl!

vgill's picture

LOL! this Is funny because this validates how rotten his kids are. (not DH's fault he is actually a great father to my kids and ours!!) I posted a "baby Shower event for my brother and his wife and their new baby girl on facebook, and my brother and my oldest SS have the same name and his wife and SS's girlfriend have similar names... this is where it gets funny!!

Not looking forward to this weekend!!!!!!

vgill's picture

Am I being selfish or are these feelings normal? It is only Wednesday ansd already I feel stressed at the thought that the skids are supposed to come over this weekend. Although I have a little hope, they were supposed to come over last weekend and they decided not to, Dh was a little disapointed but he got over it really quickly, and we enjoyed a great weekend with out chaos.

New visitation for pseudo-SD5 -- the truth will most likely be revealed.

SteppingUp's picture

BM called us yesterday to explain the new visitation schedule with SD5. We have no control over it, because she is not my fiance's daughter. I believe this will lead to the unraveling of the truth behind who SD's "real" daddy is.

My good deed to help out SD last week backfired.

SteppingUp's picture

This is sort of funny but frustrating! Last week I posted about how BM wouldn't bring SD different shoes to wear (she wasn't wearing weather/school-appropriate shoes), and the consensus was (between you fellow step-talkers and my DF) that I would buy her some shoes and bring them to her at school so she could at least wear them for the rest of the day and have warm, dry feet.
