I have never considered myself my skids mom as they have one. But at the same time bm has made very clear to me and skids that they are NOT to call me mom nor am I to call myself their mom. Ok that is fine with me.
Ladies....I have been in most of your shoes about the last 3 yrs. I felt defeated! I felt like taking my own child and running to the other side the world! I wanted to hit someone or the most run them over! I wanted to scream so loud that the whole neighborhood knew it was me! I wanted to give my SD10 the ass whipping I believe she needs...sorry if most of you don't agree but I got one when I was young and I turned out just fine...as a matter of fact my own 3 kids get it when they need it.
i adopted my sweet little angel girl kitty 10 years ago today...
she's laying here on my desk while i work away (and ST) making the sweetest little noises...... and all day if i get up and go to a different spot in the house, she follows me. almost like she knows it's "our" day... usually she finds her happy ass a spot to lounge and stays there until she wants something...
poor angel is facing cancer, she has had two operations and it keeps coming back, i just hope this last growth stays small and does not create pain for her for a very long time!
DH got an email from BM#2 wanting to switch weekends because she wants to go on a retreat on a weekend we wouldn't normally get SS. DH replied to her and told her that he was NOT interested in changing weekends, but would take SS that weekend (so we'd have him 3 weekends in a row) so she can go on her retreat. She wants to know why he won't just trade? And is this the precedent from this point forward?
I haven't been on here in a couple of weeks but decided to post how making my rules and consequence chart went.....so far....AMAZING!
it was almost like dad didn't know how to parent...he has told me repeatedly over the last few weeks how those charts have helped him as much as it has helped the kids.Don't get me wrong everything isn't "fixed" but a dramatic difference.
BM was recently sentenced to 90 days in the county jail. We received letters to the skids a couple days ago and she is wanting them to come visit her. In my opinion, children that age do not need to see a parent in that situation (SS13 - SS12 - SD5). BM was given full custody of skids during divorce in '08, but gave them up 1 month later saying she could not handle them and did not want them anymore (we have full physical and legal custody and it was done through the courts).
After 20 years, I never thought I would be writing this. I never thought I would say "You Win." I never thought we were in a battle.
i am furious with my FSD12 and FSS10 who miss life with just daddy and want more alone time without me and my kids. They were alone with daddy for 5 years, and we are together almost 3. I thought they would come around but it is getting worse. The do not want to play with my kids, they want to either be alone or sit with daddy. The have expressed wanting cuddle time constantly and BM had talked to DH about different ways they can be alone.
I get so mad at my stepson as he doesn't listen and only hears what he wants to. Typical 14 year old right? But I have to stress to him over and over what I mean. How do you control your tone? I don't want my 15month old to hear that and be scared of his mommy cuz she yells at his brother, and dad is getting stressed cuz we cant get a long.
She is 12...but she is a 12 year old with a 36C bra size and hangs all over daddy. I feel like she is too old for that and it makes me feel awkward.
