More Nonsense from BM - Advice Please

Zoie's picture

Husband calls his daughter last night and of course no one answers..so he calls cell phone and it rings and rings and finally BM picks up and hangs up..this goes on 4 times..finally an hour after this my husband calls again and BM picks up and says sorry the phone got cut off..we are in the clinic as my SD seems broke her hand or finger or something..and then BM hangs up..so frustrating..

Again my husband calls and BM picks up and says oops sorry phone cut out..so my husband speaks with his daughter and asks her whats going on, she says I dont know but I cant move my hand so we are at the clinic..my husband asks her to call when they get out of the clinic to let him know what is going on and what the Doctor said...well of course no one calls us back...

Just so everyone knows I just took SD on December 29th to get a cast off of her foot as she broke her heel and ankle and of course no one knows how this happended. My SD9 tells me I dont know how it happened, maybe running, doing cartwheels...etc...

So now what, first the foot now the hand..I'm getting concerned here..what the heck is going on..

I'm so frustrated with BM and SD that I could scream, no one will give us an honest answer...

Z :? Sad

I am a klutz, I bruise easily, and I have a high tolerance for pain. It is not uncommon for me too look down & see a gash in my leg, or have a 2 inch briuse that I can't remember how it happened. That being said, the one time I broke my ankle... I can assure you I remembered; certainly the unable to walk or bear weight gave me an excellent timeline, even if I hadn't noticed 100lbs crashing down on my foot. I'd be suspicious & if you don't get any satisfactory answers call DHS.

I agree when I broke my toe I KNOW HOW I did it. You just don't know how you brake a bone? My dh broke his leg when he was young and he remembers how he broke it. What is funny about that one is that at the same time he had a cast on his leg his mom ran over his foot that had a cast on it. LOL it was an accident.

I would want answers too. you need to do what you can to get those answers.

I hurt myself all the time, but same as you when I broke my hand when I was 12 I remember exactly what happened...so I dont like what is going on here...

When I took SD to get her cast off a cute little old women asked her "how did you break you foot dear" and my SD's exact words were "We dont know what happened"..I was embarrased to say the least.. I told my SD that is not an answer and people are going to think that something is going.

I agree with you I may have to get someone to investigate..we still havent heard from anyone so we dont know if she broke her hand, a finger or if she sprained it..we have no idea and no one is answering the phone....so damn frustrating...I could scream...arghhhh..

Update..husband just called me to tell me he's been trying to reach BM for more than 1 hour and everytime she picks up and hangs up..I think he is going to take a drive over to her house later tonight after he finishes work..

what is wrong with people...my gosh....I tell you I should take a drive over and fix her little red wagon.... }:)

Next time she's in your custody, take her to her pediatrician. Tell him exactly what you told us, and he will report it. Two broken bones while in BM's care, and no explanation how either happened? Pure bullcrap. SD knows exactly how each happened but she doesn't want to tell you. Abuse or neglect, there's a reason why she won't tell you, she's worried about you blaming BM for her injuries.

That's a good idea, I need to do something as we are not getting any answers at all..well not the truth anyway.

P.s. I should of stated that when she got her cast on in November because she hurt her ankle, once the exrays came back the DR told BM that she did have a broker ankle but her heel had been broken for at least 1 month. So how in the world didnt my SD know that something was terribly wrong..

Thanks HS I will do that as BM will not share anything with us so maybe our lawyer can get the information for us...

I would also contact the insurance company requesting documentation of visits. I imagine if there is something going on she wouldn't go to the same places seeking medical attention. I would guess that the bills are sent to the insurance carrier.

kids get broken bones and bruises all the time, HOWEVER incase it is consistant and possibly abuse, document everything so it can later be investigated....btw if she goes to the same doc for these and they start wondering they will investigate themselves

I agree that kids get broken bones and bruises but this nonsense of saying We dont know how it happened it was worries me and now it's something with her hand and we still have no idea what is outcome was as BM has not called us back...

I know she went to the clinic last night but I have no idea wich one...this child has only been to the Doctors maybe 3 times since I've known her..her mom always takes her to a clinic and only when she really has to..
