Came across this story and I had to laugh since DH has been dealing with this. LOL. You know since the girl skids aren't happy with the way DH responds to their texts, etc. Guess my DH isn't the only man that lacks enthusiasm over conversations in texts.

Thank God we have a landline and SD does not have my DH's cell#. She would be texting him constantly, I'm sure. And more than likely, she would not get many responses, except for maybe, 'Call me'. Or, he would just call her.

I don't know why people expect to have entire conversations by text. On a PHONE. Hello? You can make a call on that thing, too.

My SD has had a cell phone for 3 yrs now. Last year, she said to me "Someone should invent something so that I can talk to my friends from school. Not just text"

LOL, the thing you text with is ****Also a phone***** you can talk to your friends on it. Smile

lol.

This is how DH's dad is. He'll send 'OK' or a 'Thumbs Up' to just about any text communication. DH recently sent him a text saying that he's reassessing his career choices and would like to sit down with him to talk through some ideas. It was a pretty heartfelt text...and his dad sent back a 'Thumbs Up' emoji. We joke about it a lot. His dad does care and does want to talk...just doesn't like to text.
