Really SS?

How was skid to your DH for Christmas? Did they even get DH anything?

SS brought out a waded up Wal-Mart bag with a pair of Christmas socks in them. Still had the tag of $6.99 on them. I almost fell out.

Little spoilt brat. (Almost 18) He has a job. He just bought himself a $200 pair of sun glasses and he only got his father a pair of socks for Christmas?!!! I was amazed!

SS was not there when he opened the presents from my kids. (18 and 22.) They both ended up getting him some really nice stuff. They each spent well over $50.00 on DH. All on their own and individually. I quit helping them ship years ago.

When SS gets back, I will make sure to point out the presents that my kids gave to HIS father. Grrrr. What is up with these kids?

SD13 got my DH some aftershave, a manicure set. She got me some sea-shells with varying scents. She got us both a ceramic fountain (very pretty). My SD5 had one of those holiday stores at her school. We sent 20 dollars for her to purchase items for DH, Me, and SD13. She got DH a dad mug with an eagle on it, she got me two rings, and she got SD13 a necklace that says #1 sister. She also bought stuff for herself...but she is 5!

Overall I think they did very well. SD13 used her honor role incentive money that she earned from 2nd marking period (from me) to buy gifts for us and her BM. I was very proud of her for making that choice to spend her earned money that way instead of on herself.

The Precious Pony Princess (SD11) didn't get anything for her mother and, when My SO handed me a gift and said it was from PPP11, PPP11 said, 'No, I didn't, Mom bought it and said it was from me.' when I thanked her. Gotta love the 'honesty', I suppose. PPP11 is here only two more days and then I get my life back (good thing, I found the shovel in the garage last night... }:) ). PPP11 was on very good behavior when she got here, but her mask slipped yesterday. I caught her in lies (didn't say a damned thing to her mother or to her; let her mom figure it out); she started acting like she was 5-years old again; and she started back-sassing again.

Well, I suppose four days of decent behavior out of the last six years is something...

Going to go get that shovel.

Neither of ours did. They live far away and we sent a nice package...DH is used to them not getting gifts, I think it's rotten but I didn't want to make an issue of it. They're both adults now so I'm thinking no presents for them next year. DH is the type who says "don't get me anything.' "They don't have any money." But both SKs got new tatts right before Christmas...not even a card...

I was floored when SD12 showed up with a christmas gift for DH, me AND our BS1!! AND they were actually thoughtful and nice!!!! Of course SS11 (different BM) showed up with nothing but that's par for the course. SD tried to cover and said "Oh the presents are from both of us" but I know better. Promise that neither one will remember DH on his birthday in a couple of weeks but I do understand that alot of that is their age... seriously, they can't remember to wipe their asses, much less when DH's birthday is, so I let that one go for now.

But this past father's day, SS actually showed up with a gift and a card and SD showed up with absolutely nothing.. not even a 99cent card... I was beyond pissed and I know DH was hurt but again what do you do??

DH never gets anything from his 4 kids. Even though one of them is an adult (20). We bought for the three youngest (15-18) but we ended up not seeing them. They called in the evening time and wanted someone to come get them at a park. Since no one had heard from them, we were already into our celebration. Trying to get them to agree to a time for pick up is like trying to hit flies with a dart. Oh well, saves me from buying for them next year. Biggrin
