DH and I have some vacation property that we are currently working on clearing for a small camp house. (Weekend get away to the woods and lake ... YAY!) The land beside it is also for sale. You have to drive through our land to get to the land for sale.

Anywho..we were talking the other day and this is the convo...

DH: We should get SS to buy the land next to us.
ME: :sick: Oh hell no!!
DH: :jawdrop:
ME: Look DH...if SS bought this land who do you think would come see him ALLLLL the time? His BFF mother!
DH: Oh crap..I did not even think about that.
ME: How on earth would SS be able to shell out 50 grand on land anyway?
DH: He makes a lot of money in the service and I know he is saving up a lot!
ME: Well..I will tell you right now if SS buys the land next to us, I am done with the land. I will sell it before I live/play, next door to BM.
DH: I know..me too!

Ok..A few things here...1). I know it is his kid, but how could he want to live next to him knowing that BM is up SS's butt so much.

2). SS does not make much money and he is terrible at saving. He ALWAYS has been. Why does DH try to act like that is not reality?

The icing on the cake was that SS called 3 days later to whine to DH about how he had to borrow money from his friend to buy a car part because he was so broke. I just LOL'd and said some something sarcastic about SS being so great with money.

I normally do not do that because I am so disengaged...but sometimes I feel the NEED to put DH back in his place when he tries to brag about SS and it is a total lie!
