Came home from work today. Was chatting with DH:

Me - Where is SD12?
DH - In her room cleaning. I told her she couldn't go volleyball practice unless she gets her room clean. I have asked her multiple times. Go look, it is a pit.
Me - I've seen it, month old dirty dishes, clothes everywhere.
DH - I guess this is what I will have to do from now on, take away privileges.

SD12 comes up the stairs:

DH - Is your room clean, it is almost time to go.
SD - I'm almost done and then I need to change.
DH - We aren't going if it isn't done.
SD - Okay, okay.

Me - Listening to the Hallelujah chorus in my head!

And then he told her she couldn't watch movies on the plane next week until she had finished her book for school. The plane was the perfect opportunity to finish her book. No TV, no friends, no volleyball, no cell phone.

I think he gets lucky tonight!
