Today is October 8. The clock on ASS's "apology" started ticking last night. How many days will it take ASS to decide that his laptop, gaming system, cell phone and Kindle are more important to him than spewing out an apology??

Tuff says NEVER and I agree...

wait a sec - i say permanently remove each electronic item in two month increments if he does not comply, starting first with his most valued item and progressing down the line.... }:) sell them off and buy yourself something nice each time.

I think ASS would literally cut off his own body parts one at a time to keep from apologizing. No way the removal of electronics is going to motivate him to cross his Berlin Wall of stubbornness.

ASS is either going to end up dead, in prison or living on the streets spewing his vitriol. No amount of either coddling or reasoning is ever going to reach him. I just hope he's not hateful enough to kill others in his descent.

Yup - you are absolutely right. And, I guess if he wants to spend the next 10 months without electronics, then so be it!!

I don't think he will, and quite frankly I think that teenager has some serious anger issues. I am not past your blog of him laying his hands on you. Never mind how he speaks to you and I don't care how strict you are.

Last night, DH asked me if I had gotten my apology. Nope. And then I told DH to stop asking me, that I would tell him when/if it happens. He agreed Smile

He then went on to say that no matter how big a tantrum ASS threw about it, he wasn't getting his things back until he had followed the items on The List of Doom consistently for a few months, but that even if he started taking showers every day, cleaning his room and bathroom, emptying out his garbage can instead of letting it overflow onto the floor, he STILL wasn't getting anything back until he apologized.

I said that the iPhone 12 will be out before that kid takes his medicine.
