Update: Elephant in the Room--Downward Modification

So after several days had gone by (rewind to last Friday) after Chef had learned that OSS (will be 18 early October--bear in mind that CS here goes to 21 pretty much mandatory) had voluntarily and with the BM's permission moved out into Chef's estranged brothers home, I decided to bite the bullet.

Friday, after work, I helped Chef on a side job. We went to a restaurant (which is a HUGE rarity--we eat out maybe once or twice a year and never do fast food--a sticking point with the skids)

I brought up the downward modification and his response was "oh yeah, I was gonna talk about that."

Which was, of course a GIANT FIB! He hoped the whole subject would simply vanish, never to be spoken of again.

And then he said "yes, I think we should do a downward modification."

Now knowing he is one to 180 consistently, I have no doubt that this feeling on his part will NOT last. As soon as we get into the nitty gritty, he will want to retreat.

How do I know this? Earlier this year Chef bought a used Jeep. He specifically told me to take the plate off the pickup truck and transfer it to the Jeep, thusly taking the pickup off the road. He was all excited over the Jeep and when I asked him "don't you need the pickup too?" He replied "NAH!"

Fast forward to this month and we probably DO need the pickup due to him getting a few side jobs lately (which I'm glad he's doing again, FINALLY):

Last night (in his usual inebriated fashion) he told me that I took the pickup off the road because I was TOO CHEAP to pay the insurance on the extra vehicle.

We shall see; OSS is posting like mad about his "new life" and the fact that he got his first tattoo blah blah. Yes, technically getting tattoos under the age of 21 even with parental consent (which he has from mommykins) is illegal, but how's a youngster supposed to remain an unemployable pot fiend without getting several tattoos and piercings in obvious places? Oh and yes his many, many pro-marijuana postings. :barf:

Well he DID pass High school with a 1.7 GPA. Bear in mind that his "100" in band was factored into his grade with the same weight as his other courses. Translation: He was failing far below the fail point on any of the more "meaty" courses, namely science, math, language arts (that's ENGLISH for us old folks out there) and global studies (that's HISTORY for us old folks out there)
