Ok this is HELL month for me!

My 30 x 30 raised bed has black plastic mulch and we have had TORRENTIAL rains and flooding here in upstate New York.

So far I am exploding with:

cukes (so far canned 19 quarts of dill spears--2 mason jars didn't make it)
zukes (putting them on homemade pizza, bread, salads)
turnip greens (blanching and freezing--I have food saver bags/machine)
kale (same as turnip greens)
collards (same as turnip greens)
mustard greens (same as turnip greens)
green beans (blanching, freezing, salads, etc)
eggplant (breading, frying, freezing)
early tomatoes are just starting to ripen now
beets (will be harvesting this week and pickling/canning)
romaine lettuce (picking now)

Last year I did try crock pickling with natural fermentation but it seemed like a lot of work.

Keeping my eye on my brussel sprouts, carrots and watermelon

I also have spices such as dill, cilantro, basil (several types), oregano, thyme, parsley, chives, green onions.

What are you all harvesting this month?

I too have bell peppers I've been harvesting. I'm doing the chop and freeze on trays then bag method. Poblano and cayenne should be coming up soon.

I have san marzanos, early girls, beefsteak.
I USED to have a job with the dept. of agriculture grading green beans. HOLY SHIT you never want to see another green bean again-swing shift work of 18 wheeler loads of beans, beans BEANS!!

So jealous....I have a nice herb garden, but deer and squirrels and now chipmunks are the bain of my existence....Chipmunks have stolen every tomato at this point. These are in pots on our deck and fenced and the little buggers just get them....

Herbs, something has attacked the basil and parsley this year.

I just picked two tomatoes that ripened....so juicy and delicious!

And it's sweet corn time! The last couple of weeks have been bustling with street corners full of sweet corn bins brought in from local farms! Peaches and cream sweet corn....butter.....salt.....drooling......

Have any of you tried container gardening? I really want to try it next year, but it seems a little overwhelming.. If so, what grew best in a pot?
