O/T The Year of ME!!

thinkthrice's picture

So since Chef spends so much money on CS and no sign of that stopping until six years from now, I've decided to spend some money on ME finally!!!

Going to get a laser skin treatment and am starting one of those "custom" diet plans. I could stand to get healthier since I've had to be on omeprazole due to quasi ulcer and stomach issues. Probably a culmination of stepstress over the years of cowtowing to the Girhippo and having to deal with Chef's idiosyncrasies.

Good for you! I'll have to live vicariously through you since I'm just sitting here gaining weight with pregnancy. And I have more acne than ss16!

You won't believe this, I'm due when mil will be out of the country!! Bwahahaha! With dd18 months, mil beat me to the hospital when she was 3 hours away and I was 10 min away....

Idiot DH called FIL as we were walking out of my Dr appt to tell them we were going to get ready to head over in a awhile since we got the okay to head to the hospital.

MIL picked up FIL cell phone....MIL is a certified wackjob.

I just wasn't in a hurry, I ate light, finished packing, shower, etc....

It was like my very own horror story unfolding before my eyes. I read all about stuff like this on baby center. They waited in the lobby for 19 hours....

I still can't believe they got to the hospital before me. It's like one of the best jokes my side of the family has!

Is that like The Summer of George??

I have been working with a Functional Medicine doc for about two months now. More for getting my body back to functioning the way it should be and discovering and addressing any underlying nutritional deficiencies or other root causes.

Expensive AF, but I already feel so much better. I've lost about 10 pounds, too, which wasn't the primary goal, but I will take it!!

Much deserved lady!!! Happy for you. Lintini-how did that happen?

I remember being FURIOUS my parents planned to leave the country 3 weeks before my due date w/my 2nd child. They promised they would be back by the time he was born or in the following days after.

I went into pre-term labor 2 days after they left-they then decided to stay there longer then planned and didn't come back until BS was like 2.5 months old.

In the meantime, I had a super raging abusive spouse, an 18 month old son, a newborn, severe PPD. Still kind of hard to swallow.

Especially because my mom jumps whenever my SIL says 'how high' since the day my brothers kids were born.

She MORE then made up for it (my mom) with my sons as she watched them while I worked- but there were many last minute times she/dad would put the church before family and take trips or extend w/no notice and put me in big binds every time even though we had an agreement. And also, I paid my mom every week to watch my kids.

About time! I stopped using omeprazole when the skids were PASed out. Goodbye, stress!

Then when SS made his brief reentry, I noticed the heartburn coming back. And then the stress puking. I can't even remember the last time I stress puked since he's been emancipated!

Yeah I would have unpredictable vomiting. Driving into work BLEECHH My nice new car. Had to totally scrub it out. I went on the medicine after that and although it works, I'm sure there are side effects.

Luckily, I've always been able to get out in time. I live in a really rural area so it's easy to pull over. I finally just bought some puke bags in bulk. They are in my car, beside my bed, handy for when the kids get sick, too.

Good for you! You'll have to keep us updated on your results. I've been coveting a laser treatment for a couple of years now but I never want to spend the money.
