HMMM All of a Sudden Skids School Is NOT Using the Web Portal. . .
That has been in place for well over seven years now. Of course Chef has had ZERO notification about a so called "new system" in any school correspondence heretofore that I will relate below about:
Backstory: Noticed that the web portal for both skid's grades has all the OLD info from last year on it. Wrote the princiPAL (of the Girhippo) and he stated that they are using a DIFFERENT system that is not yet up and running. . .and that if Chef has any questions, to contact the skid's teachers/basically to wait until the first report card comes out in the mail.
HMMMM, something smells funky in that:
1. NO notification was sent to Chef about this new system (he's been getting all the other notifications)
2. The Girhippo knows that we are keenly aware of what goes on since the Gir was caught with her pants down when she never notified Chef that OSS was emancipating himself (so she could continue collecting CSS for him after he had moved out) She's still feeling the burn on that one.
3. This is SD's senior year (stb 18). I'm pretty sure she doesn't want Chef knowing her post HS status.
What I think is more logical is that the Girhippo had both YSS and SD's portal username and pwd changed so that only SHE has access to the web portal. She's actually had the various school stop correspondence to Chef over the years, particularly when skids have been truant/crater failing worse than usual (and that's a hard record to beat, believe me). . . HMMMM

New portal not running yet
New portal not running yet sounds right. They always work on it after school starts (not before) for some reason.
The question is whether they send Chef the new log in information when it is working.
If he's getting other info he should.
If he's curious about the senior kid's status a call to guidance can be made. At the same time he can inquire about when the new portal will be working and when he can expect his login.
Personally I'd call every week to inquire. I'd make them want to send me the info so I'd stop calling them.

Chef doesn't want to make a
Chef doesn't want to make a scene by showing up at the graduation. These teen skids are SOOOO PASed out it's beyond belief.
A little history: When Chef was doing visitation and showing up to all the sports that the Gir signed the skids up for (without his consent, of course and on his time) OSS literally SCREAMED during an intramural wrestling match in a HUGE gym with 3 counties worth of teams in attendance "I HATE YOU!!! when Chef tried to tactfully give him some pointers. OSS, at the time approx. 10 yrs old, turned red/purple with rage (he was wearing the school colours of orange, and OSS is a sheet white, brick red haired ginger).
You could have heard a pin drop after that meltdown!! VERY embarrassing to say the least. I felt bad for Chef at the time. Chef is very in to sports and athletic but the Gir was pushing her blobs of offspring to be in sports just so they wouldn't have to spend one on one time with Chef on his visitations.
Chef NEVER pushed the skids to be in sports, but the GIR did. She even pushed SD into boy's football so that SD could be the first girl on the team. BTW none of the skids are athletic or particularly talented in that arena. They are just HUGE for their ages.
SOOO when OSS baaaaaaaarely graduated with his 1.57 GPA, the Gir Clan posted it on social media with enough hoopla and congratulatory fanfare to think he had just discovered nuclear cold fusion.
Same will happen with SD, I'm sure. Chef wants to know post graduation status so as to put stipulations on funding for college if any, to address:
1. GPA, Attendance, Course of Study
2. The fact that the Girhippo drained all three skids' college funds shortly after the break up and spent it all--money that Chef personally put into those account with not a penny from the Gir (stay-in-bed mom; not to be confused with SAHMs that actually parent and do housework)

My SS has been in kindergarten since the beginning of August and his school portal just started working again this past week. I would think the principal would have to share the log in info with BM regardless of them being friends because it's his/her job. I agree with Acra, if you get nothing from guidance or the principal then show up at graduation or just get the brochure with the graduate names on it.

Meh.. this sounds typical. School district usually try to implement new crap like this over the summer.. but it rarely goes off without a hitch. And there is no way to bar someone from accessing the parent portal if they have a user name and password (which it sounds like your DH does) It truly does sound like a glitch with unfortunate timing.
