Finally...

tankh21's picture

So BM comes and picks up the skids today and they are with her for the rest of their summer vacation. My house will finally be back in one piece and I can clean it without having kids around. Now we go back to EOW until school start again then it's every Thursday night, EOW and holidays. I am so glad this month is over. I am going to get a pedicure, get a wax and relax and unwind this weekend. What is everyone else doing for 4th of July weekend? I have the next 4 days off since the military considers Monday a family day and Tuesday is a holiday....

BM will decide to drop off the skids again, cause she wants to party on the 4th and meet new SF candidates..

don't get to comfortable thinking you will be so lucky having 4 skid free days.....

just joking... trying to teach you to always think of the possibilities of BM effing up your plans }:) }:) }:)

It's nice to have your house back to yourself, isn't it? Even though my SD was not a problem, I breathed a sigh of relief when DH took her home to BM. There was just always that little bit of tension.

We are not doing anything special this weekend, maybe catch a movie. I have plenty of projects at home to keep me busy!

make sure to drink wine and lounge around nekkid!

we have no set plans. most holidays and weekends are all alike for us, which is a-ok in our book!

ETA - we do love to grill out or smoke quite often, so i'm sure that will be on the agenda.

Yeah definitely walked and lounging around my house naked. LOL I wanted to go to the beach and camp but I think there will be too many people so probably just staying home and spending time with my DH. Yeah grilling something sounds nice as well if we had a grill.

you're welcome! i happened to run in to that store yesterday and was pleasantly surprised that a basic charcoal grill was only twenty bucks. i love food cooked over charcoal!!!

4 day break here too.

My co-worker, who loves loves loves work, asked me if I'm taking Monday off.

I told her that from now until the day I die, I will be taking every single family day off.

Co-worker will be here. She will probably be here on the 4th too. Because in her words "I just sit home wishes I was at work" when I asked her why she doesn't participate in the compressed work schedule. Smile

Skids are at my house until 7/5.

I planned a work trip for earlier in the week, and I'm at work today because I don't want to be there when they're around. I may come in to work on Monday, too, even though it's a holiday, rather than have to spend time with them.

My house is in chaos. Nothing gets cleaned up or put away with them there. They don't use their brains and only do what they are SPECIFICALLY ordered to do--by DH. DH is constantly frustrated and largely aloof. My dogs are more neurotic than normal, too.

I want my life back.

Yes my house gets in chaos as well. I hate dirty floors and the skids bathroom is always a mess so I am glad when they go home so I can clean my house and things go back to normal until the next time they come over. Both of my skids will not take a bath for days and DH has to tell them to. I don't understand a kid not bathing for days and someone having to tell them too. They are way too immature for their ages. Poor parenting equals clueless kids I guess.

I have my skids pretty well trained. They any of their crap in the shared living area and I throw it away. SD keep leaving bottles of flavored water on the kitchen table after she went back to BM's for two weeks. Those got tossed on her bed.

My DH is another story. He is the biggest slob I have ever met. Any messes in the house are because of him.
