30 days of Summer hell...

Yesterday was Day 1 of Summer hell and 29 days to go until the skids go back to BM's. I am sure now the skids know that DH doesn't have a job since he was home yesterday. I didn't ask if he told them because I really don't care. DH is really depressed and distant. He just wants to be left alone.

I am thinking why did you take your visitation then if you just want to be left alone and don't want to spend time with anyone. I told DH that I am not doing anything for his kids since he is home all day. YSS asked me what was for dinner yesterday. I told him whatever DH cooks. I refuse to cook for OSS since I don't cook like BM and I don't want a 13 year old telling me how to cook something. BM hasn't shown up at our house yet thank god.

I can understand him being depressed about losing his job but pouting is not going to help, and with his kids there, he doesn't have time to pout, anyway. He's not working so he can definitely take care of dinner. Is he looking for another job, yet?

Ooooh boy.

I think this is an ideal time for your DH to pull himself together and engage with his children for the next 29 days, because there would be no way in hell I would be accommodating his self loathing.

I get that he’s most likely depressed, and I’m not discrediting that, but he has an obligation to rise to.

Thank you momjeans. I do feel bad for my DH however, I am definitely not going to accommodate his kids and their whims.

This reminds me of when know it all SS then 14 decided to tell my mother aged 78 how to fry an egg. He had never fried an egg in his life.

I'm hoping your DH will find work very soon. It must be very depressing for him but yes, he should see to his kids as he is there all the time right now and it will keep him busy.
