If anyone has read my blog, you know we live in a different country to the adult skids. Over the years Dh has flown out the skids regularly, and spent thousands doing this, etc, etc.

We went back to visit them earlier this year, I was hoping this might become a pattern, you know DH flying back to visit them and me remaining disengaged and not going !! I went on the last trip as DH really wanted me to go, long story short, DH didn't enjoy the experience, it was stressful, his family were stressful, etc, etc. No change there, so I wasn't that surprised !!

He promised me that we would fit in a Beach Holiday just us for later this year, after such a grim experience, well, that changed to a week away in this country ( no biggy, it would save us money, still a break for us, and DH is really wanting to start to seriously save , on top of pensions, etc ) Now that has been bargained down to a few days away, and as soon as this was booked DH was saying right now I want to fly younger skid over for a week's holiday, with the usual guilt trip attached to it, of course.... I knew about him wanting to do this, he did say he was going to wait until skid was working ( it's been a year, no job, DH still pays CS) so the rules changed as they always do with the skids. He plans not to sit around all day with the adult skid but go out and do fun things each day :sick:

Sorry, I'm rambling, or is that ranting ?? THEN, he says and then I was hoping WE will go back for a week's holiday for sd21 stb 22 graduation next year !! WTF !!! I do not want to spend a week planned around that 2 hr ceremony, which will cost us thousands !!! DH is talking non stop about saving, not spending, blah, blah, and he has been thinking about doing THIS !!?!!

I've told him, not nastily, that I won't be going, I feel like I am always the one who has to compromise, that his adult skids trump anything or everything we do.... STILL !!

Before anyone calls me a bitch for not wanting to go, or spoiling it for DH, I am going to post about sd's last graduation fiasco, and how she treated DH THAT day, so forgive me for not wanting to go through it again !!
