DH is a "man's man", which is basically just code for "I have two daughters and I don't know anything about women, nor do I feel like I should have to learn. So if you could just take care of all the 'girl stuff', that'd be great." What it translates to in the day to day is that when asked to pick up shampoo and conditioner, he will grab a 2in1 and think he's the hero of the day. It also means that he knows squat about how periods work (even though he can look at a car engine and tell you exactly what's wrong with it. So it isn't stupidity so much as it is ignorance).
