I think they do it completely out of spite

If you read my previous blog about BK not doing chores and "snacking". This will make more sense.
I own my own little business, that I run out of our home. (I make all sorts of desserts, chocolates and sweets.)
Well, I made an order earlier today, these triple layer peanut butter chocolate brownies, I made a 1/2 sheet cake pan full. I had it all cut, so that tomorrow I would be able to plate it up to deliver it all. Well, the my 2 kids asked if they could have it, of course I told them NO and why. I very very delibertly before I went to bed around 1130 pm told my BS since he is sleeping downstairs(since Im working up in his room) "Remember, DO NOT touch those brownies, they are for an order." It's 110 am and I couldnt sleep, so I got up and decided to have a glass of milk and a handful of grapes. What do I see missing?!?! Pieces of the brownies!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is what Im talking about, they get into stuff, that they arent supposed to, and snack.
This is NOT the first time they have gotten into an order! Yes, there are grapes, bananas, oranges and other kinds of fruits and veges that they could have snacked on.
I am soooo pissed that I cant sleep and I have to go to work at 7am. Needless to say I will have to make this whole order all over again, so Im out that money!!

If I could lock up the kithcen or the fridge I would!! There is no door on my kitchen AND even if there was you have to go thru my kitchen to get to the bathroom. So I couldnt lock the kitchen even if I wanted to. I was just talking to DH today, I told him I wish they made fridges lock like they do the big upright freezers!
Yeah, I defiantely am going to make him pay for the order.

I wish I could use his room as my own personal kitchen...but thats just impossible. I'd have to run ALL new lines for gas, water, and more electric power. All upstairs. That doesnt include buying all new appliances and getting them up there.
Thing is ...its not just him that does this...and its not like I could take over her room to.

I like the idea of making him pay for the brownies he ate. Clearly he doesn't understand what "For an order" means = that someone else has already paid for those brownies. It's time for the kid to really LEARN that the food you make for your business is not the same as the food you buy for him to eat. Period.

1. I already dont lend them anymore $$.
2. I dont know if he was the one that ate it or if it was DD.
I do plan on finding out and making whoever ate them pay me back.

Thing is...he would eat it all and not blink an eye.
If you can think of any "cruel and unusual punishment" let me know LOL

UPDATE: I have set both kids down and told them what is what. I have cleared 2 shelves off in my pantry to make room for stuff that is JUST for them. I also reserved a whole shelf in the fridge that is just for them.
I made coney dogs for dinner last night with chips and a fruit salad. I wake up in the middle of the night and find that my BS got into MY chips, nachos and cheese. Ate 5 hot dogs and ONCE again got into my chocolate chips. Then later I get up and find he had a bowl of cereal, that he left on the floor for the animals to eat out of.
When I get up this morning to stay up, He gets another bowl of cereal and 3 MORE hot dogs.
I am seriously fuming....

Get a footlocker or some kind of locking container. That's just nuts the kids won't stay out of it.
