BM wants part of her September money early

BM wants part of her September money early (late Aug).

No BM, we are not your freaking Financial Management Company.

I don't see why DH would even entertain the thought. He forwarded her request to me and I had to check our Finances and let him know. Well I said "No". That money can be used to better manage our OWN cash flow.

Selfish - check
Unkind - check
Rational - check

Why enable BM and her shitty financial management? If WE were in a bind and needed to pay the CS 2 weeks after the due date, do you think she'd be so kind? No way in freaking hell.

Sticking to the program, and it probably means we won't get the kids next weekend. I can see BM being nasty like that, it's DH's birthday weekend. Ah well, doesn't bother me one bit...

If Dh gave it to her early, she'd just end up short again before the end of September. I'm sure (if she works) she wouldn't hit her boss up for an early paycheck. Or if she tried, good luck actually getting it.

Unless she actually gave one heck of a good reason (kid accidently stepped on his eyeglasses and must be able to get them replaced for school and DH has to fork over 1/2 anyway type thing) I'd simply I'd have simply told DH 'no, I'm not looking to see if it's possible'. Pfft. What if then tomorrow you go out and find a flat tire on your vehicle, chipped a tooth and needed a dentist and DH fell off the chair and broke his arm and needs ER co-pay. Yeah, drastic example but the idea of everybody but poor BM just rolling in excess cash to loan out like a ATM is more a sense of 'entitlement' than necessity. I wouldn't start it as then BM will expect it and ask more and more.

Your DH should have told her, lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part. BM's poor financial management is definitely not your responsibility to take care of.

THIS! ^^^

OMG! Both BMs used to do this crap to DH like every month. Or want to "borrow" an extra $50.00 that he could take off the next month's CS. SD15 is living with us now, (of course BM1 doesn't pay US a freaking dime) and DH thankfully grew a set and started telling BM2 no ever.single.time. and eventually she stopped asking.

I just don't get where people get off?

I get pissed off when she demands CS on Fridays that we pick up the skids for visitation, her new requests for the past 2 payments have been "bring cash and I'll sign a paper"....ummmmm, no, DH transfers the money into her BM's (GBM)account (BM cannot keep a bank account), that's about all he is going to do. Last time she asked DH told her he just got her text and he'd already transferred the money. He just wasn't going to put in any extra efforts for her.
