A little reminder

It's all relative. Our problems seem so big sometimes and sometimes they are. Calgon, you are in my thoughts.
I have said this before, sorry for repeating myself. Sometimes I think, what if something really bad happened tomorrow, I would look back at today and think what a fool I was for not appreciating it. I would wish I could just rewind to today and realize how lucky I am. We're always a moment away from something and right now seems pretty good for most of us.

How English is partly at fault for a lot of the problems I see here.

I am writing this, prompted by some other blogs and my replies to them. This is something that has been dear and interesting to me for many years, both being a linguist and having been raised in different languages.
This will also make me even more identifiable :? oh well.
I was raised in two countries, one being Italy and the other a northern one.
I'll get to my point now.

Ok, fine. I feel compelled to write some of the weird/bad/funny stuff about our bm.

Just so you don't think we really live in Rainbowland.
1. A year after DH and I got together, I went back to Europe to visit family and took my DD and SD. Bm asked if she could come with us and stay with my parents while we travelled. :? Umm, no, I don't think so...
2. Right around the time that SD was about to get her first period BM called me and asked me if I minded that she be the one to explain and "show" SD how to insert a tampon. :? Ahem, no, that'll be just fine, you go ahead...
