Gee thanks for buying SS13 Some Socks for his 5 Day Trip Across the Country - MOTY!

step off already's picture

So BM brought SS's money to the school office on Friday - but SURPRISE - even though SS had enough to cover the remaining balance, for some reason BM didn't pay the full balance. Wonder where the money went? }:)

Oh, but MOTY DID buy SS a new 4-pack of socks to bring on his trip. And he also came home with another haircut (she gets his haircut on her EOWE's as this is the only thing she can control in regards to her son), and she sent him home with another beanie - that makes about 40 that he has now. Oh yes. Let's not forget the stuffed animal back pack that she got for him as well. Yes, that's right, the bright green turtle back pack that neither my 12 year old daughter or 9 year old son would be caught dead in, but since MOMMMY bought it for SS13, SS13 thinks it's the coolest thing in the world.

How about paying us some child support or pitching in for his school tuition or his school uniforms or - NOT STEALING THE KID'S BDAY MONEY SO HE CAN PAY FOR HIS TRIP.

... but no, really, thanks for more stuff for our next garage sale

These kind of BM seem to be multiplying. No telling what our world will be like in 20 years.

Yup! Nail on the head here.

She left him for 7 years. When I hear them talk on the phone I want to BARF. It's "oh, baby this" and "I love you baby" or "what's wrong baby"

And he just wants mommy so bad, he'll go along with anything she says (like her insistence that he bring his $250 in gift/ allowance money to her house or him allowing her to take him to get a haircut every two weeks - the kid had a justin bieber hairdo for 3 years that he combed incessantly, now he has a zero fade). He wants a connection SO bad, it's sad and sickening at the same time.

SS tells DH that he likes going to his mom's because she babies him and DH doesn't do that. Um no! And it's not going to happen.

I had to step in on that one and say, "It's your dad's job to help you grow into a decent and responsible man. Your dad will NEVER treat you the way your mother does. He is your Father, not your Mommy. You should be happy and feel lucky that you have a father willing to work so hard that you have nice things and that he cares enough to teach you responsibility. Your relationship with your Dad will NEVER be like the one you have with your mom."

And that's what DH says all the time. That BM is "trying" to make up for lost time. But she is SO completely off base with what this boy actually needs from a mother, that it's just really, really sad.

Oh GOSH! I think we have the same BM!

BM baby talks youngest SS to the point that he has a hard time turning it off when at school, here with DH and I or anywhere else. Even though SS is 6, it is still annoying to have to put up with it for the first two days after EOW with BM.

With SS8, the baby talk just doesn't work. In fact SS8 is always telling SS6 that the baby talk makes SS6 sound dumb. Imagine having to tell SS8 not to say such mean things to SS6 when I absolutely 100% agree with SS8.

Anyway, since the baby talk doesn't work on SS8, BM buys SS8 stuffed animal backpacks, keychains with stuffed animals for his backpack, a hat and scarf set with a huge stuffed animal on it, etc. It's always so very obvious that SS8 is embarrassed (because he hides the keychains inside the backpack and stuffs the other items into the back of his closet once he gets home. When it's time to go back to BM, SS is in a frenzy trying to gather up the things BM has bought so he can take them back to BM, I guess to show that he kept the items.

I feel so bad for SS8 (and for SS6 to be honest) because it is obvious they are missing out on something they really need from BM. And as much as SS6 and SS8 try to lean on me for whatever they are missing, I am NOT BM. I wish BM would step it up, but I won't be holding my breath.

You call your BM "MOTY"

DH calls our BM "Supermom"

SS wears a uniform to school. She ruined a brand new school logo sweatshirt in her washing machine - while playing MOTY and washing his clothes prior to sending him home - but the logo was completely peeled off. She didn't say a word or offer to replace it.

That same weekend she also ruined one of his pairs of khakis. But this time, BM gave him a pair of her old size 14 khakis to replace the ones she ruined. If she didn't give him something to wear, he wouldn't have any pants to wear home.

And poor SS actually wears these pants - with a belt - quite often. I told DH that he really needed to speak with SS about wearing his mommy's clothes to school.
