Well I haven't been in here for quite a while, can't really say why just haven't felt like typing up the depressing aspects of my life with the SS but things have certainly changed for the better as far as I'm concerned.

Since I've been here last, SS has gotten kicked out of Job Corps, for selling prescription pain meds on campus ( stole them from grandma), then thrown in jail for a couple of months on the resulting parole violation. I didn't want him back in my house when he got out of jail but after many arguments I allowed him 3 months under my roof to get his life together. A couple of weeks ago ( about 1 month into his 3 months I allowed) he once again started giving me attitude and calling me a dick when I found evidence of him smoking in the house where noone is allowed to smoke. So I kicked him out of the house that weekend, told my wife ( his BM ) that I wasn't comprimising anymore, I didn't want to discuss it, he is gone.

He went to his grandma's house for about a week, and then got thrown in jail again for a parole violation ( he missed one of his mandatory counseling appointments several weeks earlier). He was in jail over Thanksgiving, and the Parole officer said initially that he would be in until the beginning of Jan 09. The PO called me last week and was asking what the events were that led to me throwing him out, etc..., and I let her know the whole story, of course she wasn't getting an accurate picture from my wife.

So, as a result of that conversation with the PO, she did release him last week with a few conditions:

1. SS has a curfew, and can only leave the grandparents house between the hours of 7 AM and 9 PM.

2. SS cannot even visit our house unless I call the PO 24 hours in advance and give permission for him to be there. I am the only one that can authorize a visit to our house, not his mom or anyone else.

3. 2 more years of probation.

So from where I'm sitting life is much better, I don't have to come home to his crappy attitude and mooching anymore, the wife isn't real happy about it but there isn't a lot that she can do about it

PEACE AT LAST !!!!!!!!

Wow, how did you get the parole officer to not let your wife have her kid at her house?

I hope this hasn't affected your relationship with his mother.

I guess it helps when "her kid" is going to be 21 in March, he has been doing nothing with his life for so long I guess the PO decided that she was going to force him to do something other than to mooch off of me, and so far everything is ok with his mother (my wife), she misses having her son at the house, for sure, but seems now to understand that I cannot live with him anymore...
