A sign??

starfish's picture

i'm starting to believe my skids like the smell of piss and everything to do with it.

pp, one month shy of 12, still pisses in the bed. AND refuses to take sheets off to be washed unless told to 50 fucking times.

he also pisses on the toilet seat.

i haven't noticed any skids marks on the toilet lately, so whichever one was doing that has quit.

wit, 2 weeks shy of 15, refuses to flush the toilet when she's finished.

dh's solution:

make a sign to hang by the toilet.....

sf: you mean something like:

pp, don't piss on the toilet seat

wit, flush the toilet when you're done

dh: no, something like:

check the seat behind you and flush the toilet when done

seriously, i sign to tell 12 & 15 yr olds to not piss on the seat and flush the toilet, is it just me or is that mad?

That is ridiculous. They are way too old for you to have to put up a sign as a reminder to do those basic things!!!!

I think that is the stupidest thing ever.

LMBO…When SS lived here…I had a sign on the back of the bathroom door. That way he saw it when was leaving the restroom. It said…

“Now, turn around and go back and wipe the seat!”

It worked amazingly well.

i like the $1 rule... but the little shits would never pay up and in case you didn't notice, dh has no ability to enforce rules..

but i think i will make the sign with their names on it and tell them adults who come over see the sign and can't believe children that age are so nasty and kids their age can't wait to see them to make fun and they have volunteered to teach them how to flush and leave a clean seat.

of course, i would never allow guests to use a bathroom that hasn't been disinfected, but ags don't know that.

Humiliation might just work. I've been considering taking a picture, posting it to FB, and tagging skid... with a note that says, "Were you saving this for a reason?"

I like all these ideas! Hit 'em in the wallet, make them clean it up. A sign will do NO good. Sadly this sort of thing should have been mastered when they were 2 not 12 or 15 or 27, etc. (SIGH)

I put signs up one day for DH's adult daughter. DH was pissed!!!!

Maybe I overdid it by doing about 4 signs in the kitchen and pantry? One was on the microwave: clean when you explode sh1t all over it. Another was on the trash can: put your trash IN the trash can, not AROUND the trash can. I cannot remember the other two, but I know there were four.

Needless to say, my signs did not stay up. LOL.

I SO hear you! If I ever DARED to put signs up for GG's peccories it would be WWIII. After all they're "good kids" and they're "just kids" and their manners are "good enough." I heard this just the other day after his kids have PASed out for over two years. All he sees is the failing grades linked to behavioural issues (free ranged by the Behemoth)!!

Pigs would fly before I would trash up by bathroom with a sign to tell perfectly capable teenagers about bathroom etiquette. WTF? How about treat them like the little babies that they are? Tell them that each and every time they use the bathroom, it will be checked for piss/poop and if there is a mess, they will not only clean it up immediately, they will also have one item of enjoyment removed from their posession for the day (i.e gameboy, cell phone, etc)

Or maybe have your DH hire a bathroom attendant to remind them and clean up their grossness.(I jest of course)

Good Gawd... all I can think of is that hillbilly comedian (Jeff Foxworthy maybe???) who says "Here's your sign" in reference to all the morons in this world....

Hanging a sign is fine. But then do you have to hang a sign to remind them to read the signs?? I mean, it is back to basics as non-parenting, once again.

Why not just hang a sign on your front door "No Retards Allowed" and be done with it?

Once you start with signs with those two, where will it end? Don't Piss in the Bed; Don't Dress Like a Whore in Training; Don't Whine Like A Titty Boy; and most importantly Stay the Fuck Out of My Pool!!!! Smile

This is exactly why skids are assigned their own bathroom, and under NO circumstances may use mine. They are filthy, nasty beings. I do not clean their bathroom, they are supposed to be responsible for it. But SO never follows up, so it's always disgusting. The door must remain closed. Every once in a while, I'll put on gloves and a mask and do it myself because I can't stand knowing what's behind that closed door.

It was worse when SD lived with us. She's an absolute pig. One day I came home from work and the two of them are laughing and stomping around upstairs. I thought it was nice to hear her and her brother playing instead of fighting for a change, and go upstairs to see what's going on. A foul stench nearly knocked me over when I hit the top of the stairs and I see water splashing up from the carpet under her nasty, bare Sasquatch feet. I immediately run to their bathroom to find a toilet stuffed full of shit and TP flowing over onto the tile floor and out into the room where they were playing. WTF? was all I could say and SS immediately says, "She did it!" and they both start laughing. I tuned off the water, shut the bathroom door, and locked myself in my room until their dad got home Sad

I'm so sick for you that you're still dealing with their body fluid issues. Definitely keep those kids out of the pool. Can you imagine what they would do in it...a toilet big enough to do laps in? *shudder*
