guys keep my family in your prayers today-PLEASE

spunkiedolittle's picture

i got a call from my mom wednesday night that my grandpa was in hospital. long story short, he's getting a biopsy done today to determine if he has pancreatic cancer.

since he is having symptoms-according to series of dot med/edu/gov websites, he's in the later stage for this cancer doesn't NORMALLY give symptoms early on. the family doc didn't "confirm" or "deny" that he has cancer, but gave my mom the impression that he does.

my gma (his wife) has been having health problems and almost died a few years ago

so please lift my family up in prayers. this has just been a shitty 2 weeks on top of everything else (check out my last blog)

I am sorry to hear it's been really tough for you lately. I will keep your family in my prayers. Please keep us posted on what is happening.

Hang in there and try and take care of yourself in the midst of all this.

My prayers and thoughts are with you.

I am waiting, but the school i'm going to is full time or nothing, it University of Phoenix, and the classes are 1 at a time, 5 week courses, if anything i would transfer to online but that's so much more expensive, and dh does online, and i think that would add to the stress cause it's much more demanding

Your grandpa and your family are in my prayers. I lost 2 of my closest grandparents to pancreatic cancer and it still breaks my heart everyday. As far as a leave of absence goes, definitely don't drop out of school all together. That's what I did and its hard to try to go back. My heart goes out to you and your family in this time of crisis. Sad Just remember...no matter what...God never closes a window without somewhere opening a door.

So sorry. I hope your grandpa, family and yourself can find a bit of peace through this ordeal.

Prayers for calm, comfort, & peace to you & your family. I'm sorry you have so much on your plate. Remember, God never gives us more than we can handle. Take things a day at a time. When you get overwhelmed, take a few minutes for yourself. Take a deep breath, regroup, & pick it up again.

"This too shall pass". No matter what it is, it will. Not always with grace, but somehow we manage to come out on the other side & life is still going. It won't be like this forever.

(((Hugs)))

How long do you expect to have to wait for the biopsy results?

i'm guessing a week, but no one ever said, my co worker's mom just got diagnosed with breast cancer, they waited a week, but i also do not know the size of the tumor or if they plan to put it through speed testing.....so i'm guestimating a week
