Finally A Break From SD23

SmelltheRoses's picture

I was able to have a whole entire month without seeing my SD23! SD23 finally had the twins and I was back to work the next week. Perfect timing!! During her pregnancy, SD23 over dramatized everything and didn't include me in the thank you at her baby shower (as I shared in the last blog). So, I was so ready to not only disengage but get a break from seeing SD23.  I got an entire month and I could emotionally and mentally see a difference in my sanity.  I have alot of emotional turmoil, grief, and a heavy heart for having to be around her for these past 10 years.  Her narcissistic behavior along with my DH and my MIL allowing it to continue is too much to deal with.  The twins are keeping SD23busy at home and her in laws love to babysit, a plus for me!! I enjoyed my whole month!! Hoping and praying for more months like these!! I am standing firm in not allowing SD23 to move in with us again as well!!

If things don't work out with the baby daddy and SD23 may want to run for help! However, I made sure to tell my DH that she wasn't welcomed to come back after she left last year with her 3 year old at that time.

SD23 says she doesn't want to live with us again but she has been back several times after her separation and divorce from her ex. My DH thinks this new relationship will not last.  So, I already told my DH that I don't want her coming back to live with us.

Glad you were able to get a break from SD23, my question is why can't this be permanent? Why do you even have to interact with her at all? Let your H deal with her and the twins, you shouldn't have to be bothered by any of it. Especially after the torturous 10 years you have gone through.

I regret allowing her back into my life when SD was back in high school after she lied about a conversation we had. I really would like it to be permanent but that's what my SD23 wants for me not to be part of DH's entire life. Now, my SD23 with 3 kids is usually in a rush, exhausted, and talking about going back to school.  I don't go over my way to see her that's for sure!!
