DH sucks at making plans!

Is it seriously that hard to figure out a visitation schedule!! DH can run his department at work, but can't seem to communicate enough with BM to figure out where SD15 is staying this week.

It's been up in the air for the past month if we would have SD15 for 2 weeks or 3 weeks. I've asked DH at least 4 times and each time he tells me he doesn't know. Today is the start of the 3rd week. Last night DH told me SD15 goes home today. This morning he says BM won't be home until Monday so SD15 is staying. SD15 says she already made plans for her Granny to take her home because her mom gets home today. SD15 is standing at the front door with her bag waiting for her ride. DH is forced to finally make a call to find out what's going on. I get a simple text from dh saying, "she's not leaving today".

SD15 is annoyed that the plans changed. I'm annoyed that the plans changed. Of course, I don't have enough set out for dinner to accommodate an extra person... guess DH will have to figure that out.

On a side note, BM does this every summer. She makes travel plans on her weeks that don't include SD15. DH never seems to mind, but I get a little flustered.

"She makes travel plans on her weeks that don't include SD15"

This means BM is making the plans when she is supposed to have SD15...

Pretty much. DH couldn't give me a straight answer because he never asked. DH is working out of town part of this week so sd15 can't stay the whole week. BM obviously assumed she would stay all week. DH figured he would just wait till last minute and take her home whenever he felt like it.

They don't follow the CO very well. BM always makes plans when she is supposed to have SD15 so DH takes her on those weeks. And I'm always the last person to know what's going on.

Yeah, I think DH doesn't want to talk to BM so he waits until he's forced to. It's just annoying and leaves me hanging. I just like to know the plan ahead of time. I like to be prepared with grocery shopping and meal planning.

BM makes her plans for when SD15 is supposed to be with her. So sd15 gets shuffled around. I always try to plan events that don't include sd15 on weeks that's she's not staying with us. It just keeps things simple. But if DH doesn't mind, then so be it.

I'm a big planner. The last minute changes drive me crazy. Especially when DH knows about it for weeks but doesn't bother to work out the details.
