Laundry day

Sam2's picture

I think he purposely starts his laundry and goes  to sleep so he doesn't h ave to do it.  He is the only person in the house that takes more than a couple of hours to do two loads. Then the dishes, what is with only putting dishes in the dishwasher if we are right there,    Came down  this mornign to the dishes from the nine o clock dinner he made himself.  Hand wash only pan , dishwasher ready for dirty dishes and three glasses and a mug in the sink, all his.  Dad placed in dishwasher and washed the pan, then finished the laundry.  Ugh.

Lol. My comment above was supposed to be sarcasm but as soon as we got up he went in the laundry room to finish SSs laundry. Then he got SDs keys to start her car for her, all while her mouth was yapping at him. My kids rarely treated me like that but I would have dropped the keys on the ground and said start your own fucking car. I didnt kiss my kids ass and beg them to love me and guess what, at 25 & 23 they respect and adore me. I talk to my out of state kids more than he talks to the ones that live here. Oh but dont worry, they say love you 20 times a day. Sd17 manages to say love you with disdain. It's such a meaningless phrase

Well, it sounds like pretty typical teenager stuff - but you don't have a husband who will set limits on it.  DH should make him do the dishes and laundry himself, but he doesn't.  Again, this is a DH problem.

Its a DH problem.    We shall see.   With the exception of this morning , he had come up to get a drink and his dad mentioned he looked like he's sore .  He has been going to the gym but skipped yesterday.  He actually spoke nicely to his dad.  Ignored me but oh well I ignored him back.   But when breakfast was ready, did he come up  , of course not so Dad made a nice plate for him to eat later, I'm guessing about dinner time.   Well I was wrong.  He came up ten minutes after clean up was done , demanding to know where the food was.  He then made a comment that he needs to eat because he wants to gain weight.  Well the reason he lost the weight in the first place was because he stopped eating.  He then added that he needs to add muscle.   Hmm pasta, warm up pizza sticks and such won't build muscle, guess we're now embracing working out and building muscle.  Until he decides he doesn't like this friend, the gym or the time commitment and stops going to the gym, but hey maybe he'll consistently work out and build the muscle.   Now if we could just work on the attitude.   He's lucky there was stuff left for a burrito for him.  If I had cleaned up there probably woudln't be because I'm not making him food anymore.

Well that was a short lived I need to eat to build muscle.   The burrito must have gone a long way,  Its currently 3 in the afternoon and Mr. I need to eat hasn't eaten anything since 9:00 this morning or drank anything either for that matter.  In order to gain weight and build muscle you need to eat the right kinds of foods and get moving.  He's currently talking to his online friends and has been all day in his room.   He's sore from working out two days in a row .  At least he's being social.
