Update! (It's been a LONG time!)

Wow, it's been about 10 months since I was on here last. Venting was good therapy. I did go to see a counselor every week for about 2 months, and that honestly did not help.

So, 10 months later... things are still pretty much the same, if not worse. The SD & SS are going to live with their BM for an undetermined amount of time. Could be 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, 3 years, who knows? I will be glad to get a "break". It will be a great experience to enjoy life with my husband and my daughter. I'm kind of pissed that DH will have to pay CS when the BM wasn't made to pay any for a couple years there and then finally got her wages garnished... I almost wonder if there will be any money left for our family after CS is taken out of his pay. I try not to think about it...

We've known for a long time now that SS has ADD, but only recently, after a crazy incident where he totally lost control of himself, did my DH realize that maybe the "last resort" of meds was in order. He talked to SS's BM about it and she said NO WAY. She has NO idea what we go through on a daily basis. She will in about 2 months. She will either put up with it for a month and send him back or put him on meds. I hope she comes to her senses. SS needs meds for ADD like a diabetic needs insulin for diabetes.

Anyway, just thought I would update... I'm sure I'll be on here again pretty soon!!!

Well, if you guys have custody now, why didn't you just put him on the meds yourself? Don't you have that right when you have custody?

Sorry I haven't been on lately. Yes, my husband had the right to put him on the meds but didn't want to take that "final resort" choice for a long time. SD and SS are about to go live with BM and he thought he would be "courteous" and ask what she thinks. She said no so we just figured we'd let her deal with his behavior herself and figure it out since she's not listening to us. Sad, really, the child needs meds.
