A quick hello

Hi all!

My 41st birthday was yesterday. My boss (the CEO) took me to lunch and bought me a beautiful deep purple orchid plant. DH sent a lovely bouquet of flowers and had a beautiful cake for me even though he's deadly sick and has been battling multiple infections and the flu.

So glad it's Friday! Getting ready to head home from work in a few, but miss you all here and figured I'd stop in and say hello.

No news on stepdevil who just turned 15 last month. DH sent her a bday card and texted her. No response.

FIL and "L" are still together. She moved in, along with her dog but her mother ended up moving in with L's brother. So, they've been getting along fine so far. Nice to be quiet and no drama from DH's family, you know?

Nothing else is new really. Miss my girl, who started her sophomore year back in MI this week. Can't wait for Xmas when I fly her back out.

Thanks! I'm hoping DH is feeling good enough by tomorrow night to have a few birthday shots or a glass of wine to celebrate Smile

Thanks guys. It's been nice to have things all quiet on the western front...and if DH can feel better and I can keep from getting what he has, it'll all be good.
