Are Adult Step Kids Dense?

I swear. Last night my SS (27), his fiance and his dog came to visit and then stayed over in the spare bedroom. They all went out after SS barely visited with his father and half brothers and didn't make it back home until 2:30 a.m. at which time SS attempted to wake up the entire house in his drunken stupor. They came in the house, his fiance headed for the bedroom, the dog ran through the house (in the back door and out the front), and the SS with his shoes still on (I don't allow shoes on in the house) stomped all through the house, then back and forth through the kitchen, opening cupboards, the refridgerator, back and forth. Well, I got up and told him to go to bed. He then proceeded to tell me that he was hungry (it's 2:30 a.m. for Pete's sake) and wanted something to eat. I informed him he should have eaten somewhere else, earlier in the evening. He said he was hungry. I told him to go to bed. He just kept this little banter up. Anyhow, I finally got a little more stern with my lowered voice (trying not to wake up any of the kids that weren't already up because of him) and he informed me, "OK Hitler!" When I again repeated it was time for him to go to bed he said, "Heil Hitler" and gave me the Nazi salute. Amazingly disrespectful. So, then he went off to the spare bedroom. I thought he had gone to bed, so I went back into my bedroom and as soon as I got into bed, he was clunking around in the kitchen again and back in the fridge. Amazing. So, I got back up and told him to go to bed. Then he started in, "can't I even get a drink of water?" But, he wasn't saying it nicely. Anyhow, I let him drink his water and then pointed my finger toward his room. I had to wait him out. What a bunch of crap. He didn't even care that he was waking up his little brothers. What a pain in the ass. Does anyone else deal with this kind of crap? I'm so glad he went back to his house tonight. His fiance is wonderful, but he is a pain and his dog is loud. It ran around the house all night outside, with its collar clanging away on all of those tags, then it whined because it wanted in the house. I hate it when this young man comes to stay overnight at my house.

Doesn't he have to get up this morning too? Did he visit with you guys at all, or just sleep there? Maybe he should just come on the weekends, if then!

If he came over to visit, why was his visit with the family so short? Or did he come over because the bar that they wanted to go to was closer to your house? A man of 27 has no reason to spend the night at daddy's house. It would be one thing if he was respectful, but he obviously isn't. AND if he has a dog, he shouldn't be imposing his pet on your household. I would put an end to the overnight stays.
