Small vent...and update

It's been a hot minute since I have posted, but recent events have been interesting, leaving me terribly sad.  Little background:  DH (90) has been in declining health for four years, requiring 24/7 care.  Recently put on pallative care.  Two skids are SD (64) and SS (61) have been awful to my DH over the years, especially after his decline.  Neither call, text, or email...I have been trying to keep them informed of their fathers health (major) issues when they occur but I rarely get a response.  If I do, it is a ridiculous question like "Does Dad have email access in ICU?"  The final straw

The 90th birthday Party

My DH turned 90 this weekend and it deserved a great party. During the past 3 years it was iffy if 90 was doable but he made it.  Of course, he wanted to invite SD (63) and SS (60) then didn't ... then did.  It was interesting-SS only responded after several attempts via email to get an answer (it was no, can't come); SD said yes which was surprising since she did not invite my DH to his only grandkids graduation in May.  Meh

It has been quite a while since I have had a chance to read or post.  Mr. Mountains and I moved from the mountains back to where we have more family and friends.  Mr. Mountains suffered his TBI almost two years ago -- requires 24/7 care (and will for as long as he lives) and cannot make decisions by himself.  Fortunately, we had all our paperwork in order and I can move forward without any issues with finances, etc.  Having the power of attorney in place was a true gift in this situation.  Since the TBI, Mr.
