Not a "Crazy BM"

I just had to share this story.

I got an email the other day from a friend I've had for over 18 years. She was asking for prayers for her 2 teenage sons' SM. Yes, you heard that right, the BM was asking for prayers for the SM! You see, SM is dying after a 2 year battle with Breast Cancer that has now spread to her brain. All very sad indeed, especially considering SM is only 36yo and has a young child under 10yo. However, this is all the more amazing when you consider that my friend is asking for prayers for SM when SM helped destroy her 15+ year marriage to her H by cheating with him and convincing him to leave his wife (and yes SM knew about the wife and children - they live in a small town where everyone knows each other - they even frequented the same beauty salon!) On top the leaving, in a fit of rage my friend ended up vandalizing SM's car when she found out about the affair by showing up to her in-laws house unannounced in the middle of the day to pick up her sons (in-laws provided childcare for sons) and finding her husband there with this woman right in front of her sons! So when no one would come out of the house to face her or at least send her children out to her so she could leave, my friend start vandalizing this woman's car! Now I know you're thinking "Crazy BM", but she was still the wife and very much married at the time! Anyway, the whole situation culminated with the girl suing my friend for damages in court and my friend's husband testifying against my friend for his new girlfriend, and this was all during the divorce as well, so yeah, very stressful!

So now here we are, 5 years later, and my friend is asking for prayers for this woman. No, my friend is definitely not a "crazy BM", she really has embraced the virtue of forgiveness!

That is an amazing story. Thank you for sharing. I will surely add this woman and all effected to my prayers. Sounds like you have a great friend there. There are good ones out there still!!

With the amazing ability to feel forgiveness for the person who wronged her in so many ways, it's obvious that your friend is at peace with herself and others. While I do pray for the BM that has repeatedly hurt my DH and her children, I also hope that one day I will be as strong as your friend and able to completely forgive her.
