Today DH got a call from SS. He just wanted to talk and I guess whatever was on his mind couldn’t wait until he came back home this evening. At some point in the conversation SS6 referred to BM by her first name. She fussed at him and said “you will call me ‘mom’ when you’re with me!” and SS quickly got off the phone after.

I’ve started “Bonus Family” on Netflix. I get it, I enjoy it but yet I still think they are sugar coating a lot of steplife. The bio-dad in both situations is still looked upon in a negative way. We have William’s dad, Patrik, who’s just knocked up his new girlfriend and failing miserably in connecting with her kids. Then there’s Eddie’s dad,Martin, who lives with his mom, plays Disney Dad for his demon son. And yet they all act familiar with one another.

I haven't been posting much lately. We have a lot going on. SS6 is struggling in first grade. We don't know if it's ADHD or if he's just immature. This is the second teacher (1st was kinder) who chalks up his bad days as immaturity and lack of self control. His grades are slowly creepy lower.

Dealing with Autism

I don't know much about Autism and I hopped over to the "Stepkids with disabilities" forum and it just didn't have exactly what I was looking for so I thought I would ask the general page since I think theres a few of you who know/deal with Autism on some level.

You shouldn't let it bother you (But it does, and saying it shouldn't doesn't do sh1t)

You don't need to worry about BM (yeah until she sends us back to court, costs a fortune and screws us over)

Oh, you're his stepmom? (God I hate that word)

Co-parenting is best (Best-maybe, possible-nope)

You need to be the bigger person (Been there, done that; might as well play the role cast to me)

You knew what you were getting into (Sure but the level of BM's psychosis is still rising so there's that to deal with)

A little aggravated at myself. A few weeks ago I had my OshKosh online shopping cart filled with SS5's uniforms. I was just waiting for DH's check to clear at the bank so that I could finish checking out. BM emailed DH offering to buy his uniforms this year. We were in shock because she never offers to help pay for anything and flat out refused for the last two years. We were apprehensive because of the "thug" like style she likes to put SS5 in but thought its school uniforms so she can't screw it up too bad.

This week is BM's last week of Summer rotation. SS4soon5 has football conditioning every week until August. DH previously emailed BM offering to pick up SS from the daycare she sends him to and get him to practice on time for that week. She declined. Yesterday she emailed DH saying Boyfriend4Months would be bringing SS to practice. It's unclear if she means all week or just yesterday. Yesterday at practice SS4 arrived with Bf4m, I helped him out his cleats on while DH asked him about his day.

It's probably illegal but...

I just had a thought after SS4's ex-stepsister (Babydaddy#2)'s mom told me that she recently took BabyDaddy back to court and the court calculated child support without considering Spawn (BM's second child/SS4's brother) because even though he was giving her money, it didn't go through the court so it wasn't "official".
