Family Event

Well yesterday was my hubby's Aunt and Uncle's 50th Wedding Anniversary Party. We got a call earlier in the day from SS asking for directions on how to get to the party. He showed up! Of course the SD was a no call, no show! If she doesn't get something out of an event or if she won't be center of attention then she doesn't come. She is so much like her biomom it is scary! Hubby says it doesn't bother him, but you can see on his face in expressions when people would ask where his daughter was that he is still hurting. Not only does it hurt him but it hurts his parents too. But what can you do? Basically nothing but be the "rock" for them!

Tomorrow is the "big" hearing and I am getting a little nervous about it. Don't have any clue how things will turn out, but can't help but hope that things go our way for a change. I mean our luck has to change sooner or later, so why not now?

Off to work now but hope everyone has a wonderful day!

hi Lyla,
Sorry to hear you had one of those awkward moments about your SD. We seem to go through a lot of the same things these days. I understand exactly what you're saying. Stand strong. Hold your head high. Remember, my cement truck and steam roller are always ready for a friend. Smile I hope things work out okay for you at the hearing, but don't expect too much, as you know the legal system is pretty much backwards when it comes to father's rights. We've both been up against a lot but have dug ourselves out. You'll be okay, and remember you have friends behind you. Please let us know how you're doing and how events turn out. We do care for you very much.
Regards,
Sweetie
