Sd18 forgetful or ungrateful?

So today we find out sd18 has been in town since Friday. She texts H today and wants him to come get her for dinner at our house. Instead of letting us know she was in town she was at her friend's house. Dh and I have been in the kitchen since 1pm sippin wine and canning and making food to freeze. Neither one of should drive.
Sd23 lives in our town and sd18 is at her house 10 mins away. Sd18 lives 400 miles away in another state. So h of course goes chasin mini wife sd18 and picked her up at sd23's house and brings her here for dinner. First, she could only come if we let her bring her dog and our landlord would freak out. Then they finally figured out how to get her here and this happens:
Sd 18's bday is today so we give her her card/$50 (which is a lot of money to us) and we eat and then she's picked up 2 hours later by sd23.
She left her card and money laying in the table... I notice about a half hour ago.
After all the gyrations trying to get her here 10 miles, and then this...?
I'm going to buy some new shoes and say I never saw the fucking card after she opened it. Ungrateful asshole.
If this was the first gift she had left behind in may have been more sympathetic but this is the 5th or 6th gift or 'important' thing she's left behind and Dh will scurry to make sure she gets it.
I'm seriously irritated Sad

^^^^^^ AGREE WITH ABOVE ^^^^^^^

I wish my SKids would leave money, and be less orientated by it!

Seriously though, she may have just forgot, her mind was obviously not with you and her dad..

That's a good idea. I'm just really irritated. She has left behind her Christmas present, her rings, her medicine 'she has to have.'
My son left his pocket knife outside one day this summer and Dh took it and won't give it back because he's irresponsible.
