The part where he gives the future stepdaughter a ring, necklace and earrings so she feels like she has won over Mummy by getting more.

Seriously some people are stupid. Look out the karma train aka future entitled mini wife.

:jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop: The part where he says he wants her to feel like she has "won over mummy" makes me want to be sick. I can understand he wanted the little girl not to feel left out but going totally overboard is just creepy. The relationship he has with his wife to be is a totally different type of relationship (one would hope) than the one he has with his future SD. Has the world gone completely mad??

I agree,I mean the basic premise of not leaving her out and wanting to be a family is "so cutesy I could die"- not my thing but I can at least understand the sentiment. But yeah for me that's not the issue- it's the giving her more so she wins/ putting a child on equal footing with adults/ encouraging direct competition for stbSF s love. It just doesn't feel right, it's creepy and it , to me, is yet another example of stupid people not thinking things through and messing up their kids.

Baby D ate her first pork bbq ribs and potato bake with mushrooms, onions, prosciutto, Parmesan and cream! She didn't like the garlic bread but loved the avo , feta and water melon salad.

The article even says the little girl was already excited and happy just knowing that he had proposed to her mother. Kids don't need the "above and beyond" to get excited about things... unless you set the precedent. Which he just did.

At our wedding my stepson gave me a ring (DH hates one wedding band he likes the look of 2) and I gave him a packet watch. But SS and I are really close and he was pretty young. Also, before the wedding SS gave me earrings and DH gave me a bracelet that all matched the necklace that was my great grandmothers. DH loves buying jewelry for me and so does SS. Honestly, SS has really good taste because DH has taught him well. SS future wife will be very lucky because DH is very open about how much he loves me and little things he does that make me happy.
