Letter to school sent

Our attorney wrote us back and said to leave the letter "as is" and send it. He said he is curious to see what happens and how they respond. If we don't get anything back from them within a week, he will follow up with the school to make sure that DH's concerns were addressed.

We sent it yesterday via email and sent the original in the mail. We haven't heard a peep- so I am anxiously waiting to see what will happen now.

Backstory if you missed it: SS's IEP and 504 meeting were recently held. DH was on the conference call. BM's new husband signed the attendance and "Legal Educational Decision Maker" as "Dad" on the IEP. The 504 plan was sent to DH for his signature (we don't understand why BM's H signed one and not the other, other than DH requested written copies of both). The 504 plan dated in December stated SS had Dyslexia (never evaluated or diagnosed) and POTS (magically resolved almost 2 years ago now when DH spoke to the doctor and informed them of the lies BM tells all doctors). We sent the proof of the medical stuff, a strongly worded letter and contested the 504 and that BM's H be removed from the form as decision maker and edited to say "Step Father". The IEP was only for speech, which he has always had a slight impediment when he speaks quickly, and that is what it is- the speech therapist said there really isn't any more she can do and will do a few checks on him throughout the year.

The letter did inform the school about the ongoing health department criminal plagiarism case going on with BM, and that is why this all needs to be taken seriously.

A new IEP and 504 meeting for SS. With his real BF.  Any meeting with SF with no right attending is  not legal or any good.  The next door neighbor could also be attend
You must demand a new an legal meeting with his father.   Be forceful or you will report the school to the state for unlegal meetings

Take a step back faster than hearing the words "due process" with regards to a special education student.

They really dropped the ball here, I hope it gets resolved quickly!

I am so loving this chapter of your saga, JMTB. The possibility of an evil BM getting some comeuppance is too rare to be missed!

BTW, any developments on your ex wanting to stop c.s. so he can be a SAHD? Can't wait to hear how he responds to getting knocked upside the head with a Grow The F Up, You Delusional Twat! bat.

Thanks! I really hope that something does come of all of this.

As for my ex, we haven't talked about it but I promised my receptionist that I would file for a modification myself this coming week. That way the 2 extra ranks and all the extra pay he has been getting in California get taken into account. I am sure it isn't going to be pretty but I am tired to being a door mat.
