OT: Eff off Friday my version

(I am exhausted, feels good to get this out.)

Eff off to:

1Planning something in advance and having it blow up: I scheduled my 12 y/o pup's dental surgery over two weeks ago for the 19th and took the 19-25th off work..  They just called today to inform me that if I wanted it done the 19th I would have to go with a different vet, not the one I did the consultation with.  After telling them NO, I do NOT want some strange vet that has never met my dog doing the surgery, they had to push it out to the 21st.  Now my schedule is ruined because I can only take PTO the 26th (closed 24 and 25), so I only have 5 days to monitor him not 7.

2. This also messes with Christmas, if the surgery was on the 19th he'd be on day 5 of recovery not day 3.  I called family to ask if pup can come to Christmas so I can keep an eye on him and was told Rich Aunt is bringing her dog (BIG professionally trained guard dog but not "fixed" so he's a basket case).  Rich Aunt says "new dog does NOT get along with other dogs, maybe (my pup) can change his mind!"  Um....EFF OFF Aunt...how about we both use leashes and avoid any potential drama?  My senior dog out of surgery is NOT going to be a "test dummy" for your out-of-control mutt.  That's like saying "oh 'little Johnny only hits blue eyed boys, your boy has hazel eyes lets see what happens".  No.

3. SS coming over with the Flu for visitation last night.  Great.  Merry Effing Christmas...last time he came over sick DH got it on day 2 and I got it three days later even after disinfecting the house.  It lasted over a week.  He is coming back over for Monday visitation.  Guessing he will still be sick.  With my luck, SS will be feeling just fine come next weeks visitation weekend and the rest of us will be sick Christmas Eve.

4. Last-minute plans: mutual couple friend that we went camping with (the one with all the skids that caused schedule drama with DH and his BM) is celebrating her birthday and called yesterday to invite us over on Saturday Evening.  It is a non-skid weekend for us, but she has her kids. (3 kids under 12, 1 son in his teens) and they have 3 dogs.  They also live over an hour away so it is assumed that DH and I are spending the night (they want us over by 4p.m.) at their house and bringing my dog with since I can't get a dog-sitter last minute.  I loathe sleeping over at other people's houses, I like my bed.  They have 3 Labrador-sized dogs...the house is covered in dog hair and smells like wet dog.  Not looking forward to it.  Last time we went over their was for a BBQ OUTSIDE so it was fine, and we didn't spend the night.  Since they drove out to our place once for SS birthday sleepover and again for DH football party, it is our turn to drive out there.  I really do enjoy her company, DH enjoys her SO company, it's just the long drive and being around kids on a non-skid weekend....mentally exhausting.

5. only getting 4 hours of sleep last night and having to work a 10 hour shift.  Thank you DH for watching videos on your phone in bed until 11 oh and waking me up a 1/2 hour before my alarm went off because you are snoring.  I can work my shift on 6 hours of sleep, but 4 is SO hard.  The couch is not comfortable or I would've slept there.

6. Icing on the cake: tripping over a rubber floor mat at work and feeling everything in my stupid foot re-tear (of course it had to be THAT ONE FOOT).
