The inept parenting is laughable

Except that its so sad too.

So many of you can commiserate.

SD16 texted daddykins yesterday to tell him she got an iphone. Her progress report had 2 F's. Report cards are out now. SO literally shoves SS13s in my face the other day to show me how well he did. I have her squat about SD's and I don't care to ask. I'm sure she brought her F's to C's just so she doesn't have to make up those classes (how she always does, minimalist).

Way to go BM on that reward bad behavior parenting style! SO has now announced that he no longer cares about SD's grades. She lies to him anyway about school and homework, so he told her there is no point in putting himself in a position to be lied to. I get where he's coming from, but its all excuses. Just because she lives at BMs doesn't mean you can't be strict with your kids and have expectations. I guess though when you have a spoiled brat daughter, you finally just get to a point where you feel helpless.

I'm sure SD will soon quit her new job. the way I see it, she'll whine that she never gets to see daddy and SS13 always gets to come to our house. Yay, a new sympathy, poor me card to use.

DH does that to me too, shows me the 'good' and hides the 'bad' - always, drives me insane. On the other hand, doesn't seem to be much to show me these days....

I hate that, especially when my DH gets to see both good and bad out of my kids because they live here... yet he makes it sound as if his kids are simply angels because he can alter the story any way he wants to before he repeats it to me.

He's tried lately to "flaunt" that, and I said 4 words to him, "Don't EVEN go there......"

I'm sure you know I commiserate. But I suppose SO has got to the point where he feels any intervention he makes fails - and at some point you have to say - well, it's up to the SKID to take responsibility - if they want to spend their life on a checkout in a supermarket (sorry, don't mean to be derogatory about this job to those doing it, its an honest living ) - or something less savoury then its up to her.
I sure as hell wouldn't be buying her any iphones, though - stupid BM!
