BM...that bitch is something else. She also has no money (because she chooses to work VERY LIMITED part time) but has had the money to be out and about the last week, all while still owing that big $67 for the collections bill I paid a MONTH AGO...that you know she'd pay PART of with her next paycheck...maybe she only gets paid quarterly?? Hmmmm, hadn't thought of that

Ex rant...jerk

So my kids were with their father this weekend. Why is it that it's his weekend, his time, but yet mom is still the one who has to deal with shit?

Starts on Friday evening.
Text from BD12 "Mom can you bring me to hockey in xyz town (15 miles away), Dad can't. He doesn't want to drive that far and he has something going on" Me: Okay kiddo, no problem, DH and I will get you there.

How do I handle kids that don't want to go to BF's house no matter what I say...and feeling bad for it

So things haven't been going well at my ex's house I don't believe. The kids had to spent a week and a half there over Christmas break (we split breaks) and they weren't too happy about having to go back there this weekend since they had just been there. However, breaks and holidays super cede the regular CO so it was ex's weekend...but then ex decided he would like to swap weekends if possible, so we did and the kids stayed with me and DH and they were quite happy about it. However....

I can honestly say we had a wonderful Christmas!

So for Christmas we started a tradition where we go away on a family vacation. Spendy, but the kids love it. We get a really nice room in a large resort with a waterpark and themepark and this year we went for an extra day. The kids had a blast. ALL of them. The bonds among the five kids seemed to get even stronger...many times I looked at all five of those kids an thought, "We're pretty lucky...they get along really well. OSS has repaired the damage he created with my daughters and they are all hanging out together and enjoying each others company." Even YSS wasn't too whiny.

DH thinks he is subtle but I don't fall for it...more from the MIL front..sigh

So my BD15 has her very first school choir concert. She joined choir this year after I convinced her that she needed to broaden her horizons a bit and she is actually quite a good little singer and she loves to sing. The concert is tonight. Been looking forward to it for weeks. Then, DH kinda drops a bomb on me....

I had a date on Friday night with....my SKID!

So there was this concert playing (a tribute to an old singer) that I love and so does my OSS. DH isnt a big fan of said singer, whereas OSS and I are. So when I heard about this tribute I really wanted to go. And since I knew DH wasn't going to be a lot of fun, I looked at my OSS and said "Hey, feel like going on a date with me?" He of course looked at me funny and asked what I was talking about. When o told him what it was I wanted to do, he said "sure! That sounds fun!"
