DH and SD are on a vacation together.  They took pictures at a famous tourist spot this afternoon,....this is what I got from DH. word for word

Going to come back at night. She wants pics at night in "insert tourist attraction" and with her eye lashes on.

Yep..gotta come back because she needs her eyelashes on

OY...my parents traveled extensivly with me and my sister.  We were nomads in a trailer ( a caravan for those not in the US) during the summer months for up to 12 weeks at a time.  I cannot imagine telling my parents...gee we need to come back when I have my eyelashes, makeup, whatever on.  They would have turned to me and said...YEA NO and then laughed all the way back to our car/trailer

Whew I get the going back at night....but honestly she just wants the pictures..not to actually see anything.  That is what annoys the eff out me.  Like..you are not some social media influencer or what not...enjoy seeing the sights...not posting pictures to say ..you were there.

Why did your DH entertain  the idea of going back to take pics with eyelashes?

Not that this is a hill to die on for a parent but dang someone has to straighten out this diva.

Be glad you werent there.

One of my SKIDs asked me what he would get for melting down his dead mother's wedding ring. I sat there looking at him totally flabbergasted. After several minutes I delicately suggested he NOT do that. He still went through the steps only to be disappointed with the price he would get from it. What about the shame at even thinking this?

smh....I may have gone back and night to just see it...but the eyelash thing would have put me over the top.

Its very telling that my DD wear no makeup....in her words..who has time for that crap..besides...what happens if I wear a metric ton of makeup...and then I take it off later ...wouldn't that be like a bait and switch?   I myself don't wear that much..cause ya don't have time for that.

Based on that...we know that SD certainly gets this from the Beaver...and social media.  DH says that Beaver used to have every known beauitification product she could find when he was married to her.  It was all over the counter in the bathroom I guess.  Not me..don't have that much and I hate clutter so that stuff gets put away right after use.

A little makeup is far sexier than the spackle it on with a plaster trowel method.

This has always been my preference but in my less than discerning youth it would not have stopped me from partaking of the opportunity.  Though upon occasion I was taken aback by what I woke up with in the AM compared to what I took home or went home with the night before.  The staining of pillow cases  from the products rubbing off could be notable.

As for the return at night for eyelas pics, nope.  Not happening.
