Just gotta vent
Heard SS14 get into the shower at 10:50 last night. He didn't get out until 11:10. DH came upstairs at 11:30 and he went into SS's room, so I know he knew the kid was still awake. SMH. Anyway, I knew the morning was going to be difficult.
DH didn't get out of bed when his alarm went off at 7. I poked him at 7:15 and said you better get up! I figured skids would miss the bus for the second morning in a row. But they managed to be ready in time. However, I hear DH yelling at SS to put on a coat. It is 7 degrees with wind chills of -15. SS was being a smart ass about it, refusing. DH was telling him it was way to cold for no coat, especially when he had chosen to wear short sleeves. SS says, who me? I would have cracked him. Anyway, bus pulls up and SS laughs and says guess you have to drive me to school now! DH shoved him out the door and said no run for bus! I don't know if he had a coat on or not!
I really wonder if DH gets sick of his son being a total ass to him all of the time. :?

I think that is far too late
I think that is far too late a bedtime on a school night. SD14 is in bed at 10 p.m., SD11 at 9:30 p.m. Yes they try to drag it out and it can be 15 minutes later, but that's it.
One of the biggest problems with kids nowadays is lack of sleep, which affects everything from concentration at school, to mood, to behaviour, etc.
I don't agree at all that
I don't agree at all that disrespecting your parent should be allowed because it is "typical teen stuff." This kid has an asshole remark for everything. He wants to stay up all night and then can't get up in the morning. DH is no better ... He doesn't get up early enough to get skids asses in gear. Both skids are slowpokes. Ss14 because he is tired and SD because she is just slow. Every morning in this house is chaos. DH won't fix any of this stuff because he can't hurt SS's fee fees.
The coat thing? I'd let the dumbass freeze.
