Hi,

I was reading all the entries today and what a day it was! We're all in different places but share similar stories. Some of us are just trying to survive, some of us have barely survived and some of us are thriving.

But we're all trying. I have used this site to vent, be on my pity pot and share victories. It's a great site and a few contentious days are okay. Don't give up on yourself, your family or this site. We may not always agree with one another but we can always learn from one another and help share the burden. I felt so alone until I found this site. I felt so guilty about my feelings and lack of love towards my SD. It's still not great between us but I can look at myself and my actions and know that I'm living with integrity and all of you taught me that and I continue to benefit from you.

Thanks.

I felt the same way until I found this site, it had saved me from getting a few bald spots from pulling my hair out..

Very well said.
I think a lot of us say things on here that we would NEVER dream of saying out loud to anyone else. It is our haven. It is our comfort zone. It is our place where we feel we can go and feel not so alone.

This place has given me the solace to know that I'm not crazy and I'm not the only one out there, when at times, it feels like I am!

I say things here that I would never say to my DH, his kids or even my family members. I think this site has made me a healthier person...just having a place to vent. I LOVE THIS SITE Wink

I don't post here much but I read and appreciate the wisdom and support on this site so much.

I think so many of us come here with intense emotion- frustrated enough to say the unthinkable "I hate my SD" or with amazing joy that you had a breakthrough with your Sk's or even yourself. I think the raw emotion of so much thats posted here makes it harder to be objective and easy to take things personally or out of context.

Steptalk, keep doing what your doing. I hope those veterans who've helped me so much will stay. For me, I'm going to continue to look for support, value opinions that help me and ignore those that I don't.
