When school starts...

There is always some madness going on. There is always some stupid thing coming out of this stupid BM. I swear...

This year's stupid thing goes like this...

SD7 got accepted into one of the charter schools she had been on wait list for. And the brilliant BM got the awesome idea of split the uniform items her and DH are going to be buy her. She wants us to get her a week's worth of outfits (5) and she will get her a week's worth as well... So she wants SD7 to have 10 Polos AND 10 BOTTOMOS AVAILABLE, not including the stuff she already owns.

WHOAAaaaaaa... I understand a week of outfits, and split it. BM claims that the uniforms fade and get stained...

Oh, and did I mention that she is planning on SD to ONLY stay in that school for one year. Because she is also in list for a better school (which she is "CERTAIN" she'll be enrolled by then)

Of course, DH said... "no, that makes no sense, I'm buying her two tops and two bottoms, thats it"

I swear, she just doesn't wanna do laundry any less than every 10 days or so... no job for a long time, just sitting at home living off of boyfriend...

She had as an example of how easily stained those white polos get... Well, they can also be NAVY, then don't buy her white ones. period....

w-h-a-t-e-v-e-r....

I am sure she has a washer and dryer, however, It seems as if she has not heard the concept of washing clothes bi-weekly... at the very LEAST "weekly"... every 10 days, sounds much more laid-back...

Why not say you'll re-evaluate the clothing situation if she needs more at Christmas time or the semester break. One week of outfits should be fine. Pants can be worn many times in a row -- haha...college days much? -- before washing! Smile

Yes, that is what DH said, that if there are holes or extreme stain/fading, or if they didn't fit... THEN, we could consider on getting her more outfits...

There is no child support agreement. all expenses are (usually) split 50%, and living arrangements as well... they were never married, and have never been in court, or anything...

Since he isn't paying child support if i were you all i would just buy the 5 outfits to AVOID any $$ issues with BM or if she gets upset & decides to go put him on child support. Walmart sells uniforms, get them from there.... :? He's lucky she didnt put him on child support, my husband has to pay $400 a month for CS for my SD5

Okay, the whole point is that...

#1, we are not "lucky" because she hasn't put him on CS. she actually lived with us FULL TIME, 100% for many months, while her mom was out of state. Then, she came back to her life and moved in with her boyfriend and now we have the arrangement of EVERY weekend, and she has her every WEEK day, and we have her most of the time during summer....

I don't understand the mentality of "she is lucky she didn't put him on CS" because she actually lived with us for a while, SHE is lucky we didnt put HER on CS...

And no, just because BM finds it convenient to have 10 uniforms, doesn't mean thats whats gonna happen. Thats just ridiculous.

If it was MY son, 3 uniforms would do JUST fine, especially for a school in which he will only be for a year.
