Last minute father's day ideas...

Gia's picture

Hmmmm...

SD5 is in another state, BS1 in another country... DH's father died 11 years ago...

I'm not sure, how his mood will be in father's day. Since he won't be able to spend time with the kids nor his father, I don't know what to do in order to honor his "fatherhood".

Any ideas? (other than material things...)

can you make a picture collage of him and his father and with sd? they have those online places (mypublisher.com)

maybe just make a really nice dinner and take his mind off of it being father's day (wink wink) if he is not happy about what day it is.

I think that is the most you can do Gia. Be there for him. Show him you love and support him. Do something nice for him like a great dinner or something just to show him on this day you know it's hard for him but you are there for him.

Maybe taking him out to the lake, or ocean, or pool, or picnic, something outdoors to keep his mind off things a little. (((((hugs))))) to you and your DH.

I don't mean this in a flippant way. What are your opinions about pets? Maybe if he can't have his children with him, then a pet he can take care of and shower some love on?

Love me or hate me, I'm still gonna shine!!!

I already have too much with my one year old and the five year old!!! We live in a small apartment and a dog just is not a good idea. We are planning on moving to a house though...
