We had the "chat" this weekend. Interestingly, DH and I are, at the moment, on the same page. I asked SD what was going on, what was all the feet dragging about - and she said she wanted to move back down with Protoplasm.

I asked SD, so - How will this benefit your little one? And in front of her Dad, and straight up to me, she let her butt hang out in the air. She said that little one would be able to be with her family. WHAT??? I asked her exactly what she meant by that. She said protoplasm's parents were there, and aunt's and uncles, and little one would be able to be with her family more. It took about three minutes for DH to actually realize what she was saying. He got up and left the room. WOW. I was shocked. I told her I had never heard a more hurtful statement.

We talked a bit more, but finally, I cut everything short and asked her - are you ready to move out tomorrow? She said she wasn't sure what she wanted to do, and that was the problem. So - I told her get the college information together, and have it ready for me by Monday evening. Period, no more discussion. That gave me the time needed to talk to DH privately. We are on the same page. She is either in school and taking a class at the end of the month (when Sept starts) or she moves out. Period, no more discussion. I am pretty sure this might hold up going forward. But I guess we'll see.

SD just called, she is applying for the school, is enrolled in a class for the fall, and is expecting to matriculate in spring semester.
