Removing BM's child off bf's health insurance update and questions

Ugh the marine corps can be oh so frustrating sometimes. It has been almost a month since we sent over the final divorce decree to the Service Project Office of the Marine Corps to see if they can remove BM’s child off of bf’s health insurance. Guess what? Finally today they email back saying:

“I apologize for the delay. Can you please provide the DNA results and the separation agreement? The divorce decree does not mention the child that was deemed not to be yours.”

So apparently because the wording says “A second child born during the marriage was deemed not the child of Plaintiff by way of paternity testing” and I guess not what the child’s actual name is, it is not sufficient enough proof. Took 3 weeks for them to ask for the more documentation we said could be provided. Should of just sent it all from the beginning. So today when I get home we will be sending the PSA which does say the child’s name, plus the DNA results, and I will highlight on the final divorce decree the line on the final divorce decree that says by paternity testing was proven not to be his.

So crossing our fingers then that the Service Project Office can indeed remove her from the insurance.

On another note we are sending BM a second letter since she has not said a word about the first one. Two questions:

How do I sent in the mail that we get a receipt proving she did receive it?

What wording should I state in this letter? We were thinking of saying something about have not heard a response back from the letter dated November 6 so it is being resent, blah, blah, blah?

Don't forget tell the post office you want HER SIGNATURE is required for pick up of the letter. Not her mom, not her friend,  not her neighbors, not her church family...ooopppsss sorry I was thinking about our BM who doesn't do shit.

Anyway, add addressee signature required ONLY Wink

That's a good point! We will be very specific when going to the post office tomorrow!
