BM Signed for the Letter

Got the notification about a half hour ago that it was delivered and signed for. We just requested a copy of the signature of who signed for it because I did not get that. Actually when we went to sign the certified letter last week the lady at the post office was not very clear on everything and was clearly losing patience we didn't know the 101 on sending certified mail even though there was no one in line behind us. Hopefully we can get the copy of the signature soon so we have it for our records. I warned bf that BM might message today because in the letter we sent we requested a "response in writing."

Anyone have any guesses on if BM will respond? So far there has not been a word.

What was the letter for?

I don't know that she is obligated to acknowledge anything she is sent really.. unless he is requesting court ordered specific information and she is refusing to provide it.. but otherwise.. I'm not sure she has to do anything.. whether she signed for it or not???

Well no she does not have to respond, it is not a court document. The letter being sent was the original letter advised bf bf’s attorney from November 6, 2020 being resent that was a threatening legal action against BM if she does not correct BM’s oldest child removing bf named as the father after she removed his rights over a year ago. It also states that if she does not do so that it will be filed in court and seeking reimbursement of court and attorney fees plus the worry of health insurance fraud as this child is still on there and cannot be removed until the birth certificate is corrected. In addition to this letter, there is a letter dated December 2, 2020, following up to the November 6th letter requesting a response in writing, but this one was sent certified mail. Basically covers bf’s ass and shows he has tried multiple attempts to have this corrected as the judge told BM to do October 2019. He has written in the court approved app several times requesting this be fixed, now has sent certified mail requesting this be fixed, has talked to an attorney, talked to the judge’s clerk, etc.

The reason she signed for it is important soley because she cannot claim she did not receive the letter. It just backs up that multiple attempts have been made for this to be corrected and BM did not do as the judge told her over a year ago now
