Goldilocks

frustratedstepdad's picture

Went home from lunch today and what did I see? Goldilocks (SD22) in the kitchen helping herself to some food. She was on the phone and she went upstairs as soon as I came in. I overheard through some ear-hustling that she WAS taking just 9 credits in school, but then she dropped another class so she is just down to six classes. Her classes are: Math, Dancing, and Fitness Boot camp. Yeah, that's quite the courseload. Dirol

Avoidance

Just a quick update. SD22 literally spent all of 10 mins with her son this past weekend. She left our house on Sun afternoon, and has not seen her kid since. We know that she has been by our house to do her laundry or shower when we are not there. It just pains be because SD22's son always asks "Where's mommy" everytime DW brings him home from daycare. It's just a pitiful situation. One more week of this and I am getting the locks to our house rekeyed.

Therapist's Recommendation

So DW went to see her therapist and told her everything that was going with SD22 leaving her kid with her friends. Her therapist said we were correct in that she probably lied about how long she was going to leave her son. For all of this week, DW has been getting up extra early, getting GS3 ready and driving him to SD24's house for daycare. When SD22 was going to leave her kid at her friends', she gave them her welfare cash benefits card and her food stamp card. She gets $400 on each, and she was going to let them use both cards for watching her son.

The Great Manipulator

So we've been backing off a lot when it comes to taking care of SD22's son. My wife finally told SD22 that we are at the end of our rope, and she needs to step up more and take care of her own son. So she has been getting one of her friends to babysit him from time to time. So now that SD22 has been forced to take over more responsibility for her son, I always find that she is much angrier and stressed out more, which really I didn't give a damn about. Her kid, her responsibility.

The Talk

So my wife had a good talk with her therapist. She told her therapist that I was thinking of moving out and getting my own place...and that ironically we would probably get more alone time that way, because right my now my wife is just a built-in babysitter for SD21's 3 yr old son. Her therapist convinced her that it sounds like I am at the end of my rope, and it also seems like DW is too because she is so cranky and frustrated all the time. She agree that we need to sit SD21 down and tell her that by April 1st she is to be moved out.

I Hate Christmas

frustratedstepdad's picture

I have been so frustrated this past year dealing with SKID issues, I really hate Christmas time. We have six grandkids to buy things for, and my wife just goes completely overboard when it comes to buying gifts. Not to mention we just paid about $200 for them to all have Xmas pictures done as our gift to the skids. Also, the grandkid that is living with us has a birthday this week. We have been so financially strapped these past few months we hardly have any spare money at all.

More Trouble for SD21 (Long Blog)

frustratedstepdad's picture

I have been telling DW that I think by Feb 1 SD21 should be able to move into her own place. Of course DW is fighting me on it because SD21 sold her car due to having a suspended license and having all of these traffic tickets to pay. Of course most of those tickets are for driving with no insurance, and driving with a suspended license. DW thinks we should wait until she has all of that stuff paid off. I told DW that SD21 has had the money to pay off ALL of her tickets from stripping, and she got $2600 cash when she sold her car. It's not our fault she is wasting away her money.

Lazy Ass SD21

So my wife found this amusing. Around 5pm I run to the store to pick up a few things. My SD21 calls my wife and here's the following convo:

SD21: Do you know what Derrick is making for dinner?

DW: No, why?

SD21: Because I'm hungry as hell, I'm starving.

DW: Then why not make yourself something to eat?

SD21: There's nothing in the house to eat.

The Bitch is Staying

So much for thinking my SD21 and her son were going to move out by the end of November. She told my wife that she didn't have the money due to all the traffic and other tickets she has piled up. (Driving with a suspended license, driving with no insurance, $1000 for possession of marijuana) She has agreed to start paying rent, but dammit I thought I was actually going to start looking forward to coming home for a change. It's like she's a cockroach that just won't go away.....
